Looking at upgrading my current 2006 F350 lariat crew cab dually to a 2019 model. Love my current truck but the ny winters are finally showing their colors as the cab corners and bed are rusted out. Does anyone have a current ford crew cab? I'm curious about how well the rear seat heaters work and if they are worth it. Dealer has one on the lot but without the heaters and if they work good I'd rather order one with them so the kids are a little more comfortable without having to blast the heat.

I have a 2016 and the rear seats work just fine according to my kids. They keep them on the low setting

If you are going diesel I recommend the electric cab heater. It warms up fast and IMO is a must have in cold climates

I have a 2017 Platinum, the seat heaters work well, both front and rear. The steering wheel heater is bionic..to the point where you have to shut it off because it gets so hot. .. I had a 15 Platinum ( old style ) before this one. Everything about the new truck is better ..except IMO.. the old style of seats were bigger and more comfortable. The new ones are still nice..but harder and narrower.

I plan to get the rapid heat for sure. Use to the heated steering wheel and front seats on our 17 Explorer but haven't had any experience with the rear seat heaters.

It will have the diesel. Checked almost every box on the build on the ford site. For the cost and the fact I keep my trucks long term I want to get it set up right.

Any advantage of the extra heavy duty alternator or the extra extra heavy duty alternator options? Also do you guys have the center console for the front seat or the front bench seat?

My buddy only buys Ford. His latest is a 2018 f350 SRW lariat crew cab, 6.7L (he refuses to go drw) We ran it from Md. to Indiana(empty) and back (loaded) at 80 pulling a 24 ft stock trailer, I thought the rear seat heaters worked pretty good for a Ford.

The HD alternator is for ambulance setups and the like where there is very heavy onboard power demand, you'll most likely never need it, unless you're going to put a competition grade sound system in.

Absolutely go with the captains chairs and the center console, the front split bench is not comfortable for long trips and lacks storage for even the most basic stuff like wallet and sunglasses.

I drive a 2014 F450 King Ranch.

Can you get a PTO option? For driving a chipper etc? :)
What's the MSRP (Massive Suggested Rip-off Price)?

I really like my 2002, but at 160,000 miles the engine is just barely broken in, although some of the interior plastic is aging.

I’m curious about the PTO option on the new Ford pickups. Can I run a bush hog with it? How about a snow blower? Just kidding...what’s it for?

If I'm not mistaken, a PTO can run a dump body, of a hydrolic pump that a salt spreader could be run off of. I have a 17 F450 and I believe there is a spot on the trans, covered with a plate where one could be mounted.
