Good morning! It's close , real close, I'm keeping an eye on it as it keeps moving. The central Texas snow is just to the Northwest about 40 miles slowly creeping this way 33˚ and raining now. Bird do you have snow this morning?

Don, radar makes it look as if rain is close. NWS says 31 degrees going for a high of 35 with a 90% chance of rain; mainly after 9 a.m.. I just went outside to see what it's like out there and it appears that we've gotten a tiny bit of rain, but no precipitation at this time (6:30 a.m.)

I think it's going to be a good day, or maybe 2 days, to just stay in the house and watch the boob tube with my wife.

Mostly clear with some dark ribbon clouds moving in. Rain tonight and off and on through Saturday. The ground is very spongy. 39° now, after a low of 34°, high to be 45°. Cleaning ladies coming, Need to work in the garage, do recycling, visit mom. We shall see what gets done, visit is the priority.
Good days for all, God bless.

The low this morning is -3, yesterday got warmer then they said it would about 35°. They are calling for it to be in the mid 20's today and sunny. I think it might get warmer then that again.

Have a few little projects I would like to get done today.

Hope everyone has nice day.
CWB.

Freezing rain right now, chance of turning to rain later this afternoon. They’re suggesting snow and ice before tomorrow night, gotta luv it.

If all of the gun fire the other night, they ran out of fireworks long before midnight, was aimed at an 85 degree angle north the bullets landed well into Oklahoma. We’re a run and spit away from the Red River.

Hope your visit with your Mom is a good one Randy.

Seems odd to hear of snow coming down in Texas while it's in the low 50's here. Just always thought of Texas as
hot and for sure it isn't always. Must be the cold Canadian air dipping down on Texas first.
When in doubt blame the snow on Canada.

power just went out, I see the internet button conked out, nice to be on a UPS as the printer cycles on, wasting electricity at it does so...
Power was out twice yesterday. Can't be that many people hitting poles. Well, gives the generator a workout.
Reminds me I need to check the oil in the thing. It never ever needs oil but I know when it will, when I don't check...
takes almost three minutes for the router to get its brain back and there it goes, the little light goes back on.

time to go plant some seeds. Might make up the first tray of collards.
An experimental extra early one. Otherwise the rest I do in two weeks.
And maybe half a dozen cabbages I could repot into something larger and let them
grow in the greenhouse.

Hope Farmer is doing ok, hope new year is a good one for Ed and family,
same for David/Mossflower and his ladies
and Larro.

as much as I moan about snow, like a few others here, I wouldn't mind a couple inches of fluffy white snow to make
the world clean and soft and bright.
And since I finally broke down and ordered an electric snowblower, well bring it on.
Besides, doing donuts in the golf cart in an inch or two of snow is great fun.

Thomas and Roy and others, hope your day back at work was tolerable and drive safely.

41° here this morning and forecast for 45° by about 4 p.m. Then temp forecast to rise to 48° by 10 p.m. Chance of rain is 100% which I can confirm ...... since it's raining here now.

Looks like it will be a day in the workshop, cleaning up, to get ready for next project.

The shop is a raised center aisle barn and has a string of 8 ft. fluorescent fixtures in the middle bay. The fixtures hang on chains and are 16 ft. above the floor. Needless to say, replacing 8 ft. tubes, on chain suspended fixtures, from the top of a very tall ladder ......... sux badly.

I've found and purchased some 8 ft. long fixtures that have 4 x 4ft. T8 LED tubes. They will hang from same chains as the present fixtures and get powered from same BX cables from boxes under the roof peak.

I decided to use a local electrical contractor, that does both residential and commercial work, for the install. They have 2 man scissor lifts to work from and I will be their ground man. We have a total of 9 fixtures to replace. All my woodworking equipment is on mobile bases and shop tables have big casters. I should be able to just move equipment to the side so the scissor lift can travel down the center of the shop.

Once down, I'll evaluate the old fixtures for rebuild and use elsewhere.

Everyone have an excellent Day?

Prayers to all.

We have 2 of those 8' fixtures, 2 tubes or bulbs in each, in our garage. So far, they work OK, but I would never install 8' ones; much rather have 2 four foot ones.
