Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

Great pictures of the sleigh and the horses of course. Thanks for posting them. I really appreciate the memories of the horse sleighs as the whole familly would sing Xmas carols on our way to church. Mind you our sleigh was a huge one to be able to carry 20 people on it. Merry Xmas to you and your familly.

HLA made the blade. Some where out of eastern Canada I believe. I have one of their grapples as well. They both appear well made so far.
I'm down to 15 minutes a side on the rear chains. Problem was I could never get them quite tight enough. They would hit the inside of the wheel well well at higher speeds. So I made some chain tighteners or chain adjusters depending who you ask. Saw them on the Internet for $150 US bucks per, wich translated to about $250 canuckastan by the time they were shipped. Made up 4 for $90 canuckastan. They work pretty good, chains don't slap the fenders at higher speeds now.

I have no hands on experience with HLA but every time I read about someone who has their product, they seem happy. I wish I could have found a Lighter plow. Mine is right for the tractor but heavy for the Stone driveway. I made larger Skids for it but it still digs. It's 1000 lbs. Your tightener looks like a simple but functional way to go. My son and I put my neighbors rear chains on. He has no Fender room above the tire so we lay the chains on the ground and lift then onto the lower tire Lugs. Drive forward and they ride up the tire. They never sit right. Then we fight with them as we shift them around. The Spring type tighteners are good for a laugh with cold fingers. I was thinking turnbuckles as an alternate but you threaded rod deal looks good too.
