I have several of those, as I can get them for free, they are too small for firewood and too hard to unload, for me...

What are you burning, logs? My wood is all 16 - 18 inches long for my fireplace insert.

Ok, I'll have to ASSUME your wife cleans the mess or you have the cleanest firewood in the universe OR we have a huge english bearer, so which is it or do we even care, well I care when someone comes out and say they have no mess when getting firewood in their basement, makes me wonder what am I doing wrong.
I know sometimes the english spelled words makes no sense, so for sake of I have nothing else to talk about about or want to do on Christmas day, lets see if I can sort this out..........

See this is how wars start. everytime I throw firewood through the basement door I have a complete mess that me or my wife has to throw back out. Perhaps you are more picky than we are?? lol
Any bark ect. that's outside of the window, the lawn mower takes care of that and any on the basement floor, ends up in the garden, usually after it goes through the woodstove...
It ALL makes heat, so in it goes...
