It gets so frustrating to have to reorient pictures from landscape to portrait for them to display properly on TBN.

On my windows 10 laptop both of these appear properly. But when uploaded the exif of the first one (taken in portrait mode) is flipped.

Even worse is if you take pictures of ladders in portrait mode.

Why can't the software do the same as the windows 10 file manager?

All 4 displayed rightside up after holding control and left clicking, to show in a new Tab.

Holding control doesn't help in my browser, using Microsoft edge

Do you mean it doesn't work, or the pictures aren't rightside up?

The pictures aren't rightside up, they will open full sized in a new tab but not in the desired orientation.

Yep, just tried Edge, same result. So it is Chrome that displays them correctly.

Well may have to try chrome instead of rotating the laptop sometimes. :drink:

Download Irfanview for free. Then you can re-orient, resize, crop, etc.

I don't care about orientation. I can tilt my head. I just wish people would learn simple tasks like resizing and compressing images (which IrfanView does well) instead of uploading 5 Mb images to show something very simple.

The first ladder picture displayed properly, but is 1900 x 2500 pixels and 2.7Mb

This version is 600 x 800 pixels and 119Kb:

LadderResized.jpg

Two step, 15 second process in IrfanView, 'resize', then 'save as' to compress.
