Poured first cup of coffee. 61° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 85° partly cloudy skies. Was a good day yesterday. Went to local car show with a friend of my oldest son when he was in the service. He knows a lot about the the cars we viewed. One car caught my eye. 64 Plymouth Fury 426. I had one.

About 300 cars on display. They close of downtown to display the cars.

Came back to house. Had a birthday party for our youngest granddaughter. 14 years old. She was born the first day of my retirement.

My wife (Betty) was all smiles with the kind comments on her window treatments.

Not much planned for today.

All those in way of the remnants of Flo stay safe. Prayers sent.

Good Morning All.

Good morning all nice sunny day here temps going to 80's.
Sitting at the lab for some blood work then pick up a coffee before heading to the range see if they can squeeze me in for my yearly qualification. If all goes as planned I will drop the boat off to be winterized.
Have a good day and stay safe

Good Morning!!!! 58F @ 5:45AM. Sunny. High 79F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Enjoyed seeing the car show photos, Ron. Thanks for sharing!

I've had meat marinating in the 'fridge for a few days, so yesterday I loaded up the dehydrator and finished up a nice batch of jerky. Two flavors, one hot, one sweet. I'm always amazed how little comes out of such large pieces of bottom round going in, and only got enough to fill four of the eight trays I had from two large roasts. But it's probably enough to last through the end of the year, as I try to just eat it when I'm camping or traveling.

Installed an H4 LED headlight bulb in the old BMW motorcycle yesterday. Oh my gosh, is it bright! And none of the holes or weird beam patterns common to older generations of LED bulbs, either. Also got the starter working, and hooked up the throttle cables to the carbs. Learned I didn't have the correct choke cable, so that's on the shopping list for this week's trip into town. Also found two connections I'd missed, and I think that completes the factory wiring harness installation. Still have to wire in a fuse panel and relay for an auxiliary power bus for heated grips, jacket, and driving lights, but I'm pretty sure all the parts for those are in hand.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

71 outside this AM. Heading to upper 70's. Rain of course.

Was working on the run-in yesterday. Rain chased me in with 3 panels left. And I do mean rain. I was soaked to begin with, but on the ladder it was like a personal shower from God. I found out I will need some gutters on this building, like really soon. Plan was to divert the rain water into collectors for the horses. Wow. Talk about a water shed moment. LOL. 3 panels left, and looks like maybe mid-week before I can get to them. This project is way, way, way behind schedule.

Hope all fare well today with the storms and hurricane.

Have a great day and be safe out there.

Good Morning All.

Love the Plymouth, a good friend has a black ‘64 Sprt Fury with a 426 Max Wedge. He also has a ‘62 Pontiac Catalina Ventura lightweight with a 421 Super Duty That has less than ‘8’ miles on it.

A shower about 9, cloudy with a chance of showers, but not much.
We are getting the Florence rain tomorrow. Highs in the 80s this week.
Have a good day guys. God bless us every one.

Good morning! 75˚ to 90˚ lots of sunshine.
Mom's dryer is making a very loud sound at start up and noisier than usual while running. I think there is a bracket broken. It's a Kenmore, over 20 years old, so she might get a new speed queen to match her washer she got last year.

All those in Flo's path stay dry.

The low was 39° this morning, yesterday was in the low 80' and a lot of wind in the afternoon. Today is going to be sunny and in the high 70's, hopefully not as much wind.

Not much planned for today. Might go for a ride today and see some fall colors. We are going down to SLC in the morning for a few days to see the grandkids and Dr's appointments.

Hope everyone has a good start to the week.

neighbor just called, wants to borrow tractors for cleanup.
No offer to help me.
Wishful dreaming.

raked for almost two hours this morning, will be picking up sticks this afternoon.
Will wait until tomorrow to use DR lawn vac, let things dry out another day
All I see is a sea of sticks and leaves
One set of blades on JD garden tractor pulling vacuum will be sacrificed for this mission.
I'll put a spare sharpened set on when done.
DR vac has the biggest motor I could find but still need something to get it there.
Will raise the mower to three inches, which since lawn is growing like mad
from ten inches of rain in two days will be needed anyway.
A little too much vegetating going on right now...except in the garden.

Prayers for those in need, glad we don't have the flooding and hurricane winds here.

Returned from relaxing 4 day camping trip (full hookup campground in travel trailer).. enjoyed the quiet. Wife kayak'd several hours a couple of the days, windy at times so she stayed close. The drive home was windy and occasionally rainy.

I was asked to work in Plano, TX this week, flying out early tomorrow, really don't enjoy traveling for work much (used to have to travel every week, so had plenty of it).. Long days, early flights, driving in traffic (much more than what we have locally)..

33F this morning when I rolled out, news last night said low 40s, glad we have the timers off the hydrants.

67°F and .15 inches rain.
No set plan for the day, hope it’s dry enough to resume my bushhogging this morning. Happy Hour in town with friends this afternoon.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

What, no orange golf carts with a FEL?

There was a Orange Yamaha golf cart. But it did not have a FEL. A side section of the car show is some old red and green tractors. No pictures. Mostly because there was no Orange to attract my attention.

68°F and some light patchy fog this morning, going up to 91° today. Going to be a warm week here, with highs in the mid 90s through Thursday.

Spent most of the weekend working on Deckasaurus. Actually have deck boards on about 2/3 of it now. Getting there.

Happy (belated) Birthday, Ed.

It's amazing how far LED technology has progressed in the past few years, RNG. I put new batteries in the little free Harbor Freight light last night, and it throws a nice beam from the well house to light up the front of the barn about 50 yards away. Impressive little thing, for one LED and three AAAs. LEDs are probably fine in a motorcycle headlight, but I'm not sure I'd want them on a car or truck. Not enough heat to keep them from freezing over in the winter. I know some municipalities had that issue with traffic lights around here when they first switched to LEDs.

Some great-looking cars in there, Ron.

I feel for you. One of the best "benefits" to retirement was losing all those frequent flyer memberships; I haven't been on an airplane in eight years. Especially since I hear that the seats and parking situation at the airports is even worse now. I never understood how those that have never had to travel on business can consider it a true benefit, but a lot of them do. Cramped, disease ridden airplanes, funky rental cars, noisy hotel rooms, fattening and expensive restaurant meals, and all those wasted evenings, nope, I don't miss it at all.
