Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe should have been the accountants. Schlock, Swindle and Scheister were the lawyers.

Too right!:D

Although, I have seen that there are also some pretty girls people like to take pictures of climbing in and out of them....

And the key is the pictures when they are climbing!

There’s my dicey load, I think this was a case of too small of a trailer to balance the load correctly, 5 straps, climb up to around 70mph and she starts to sway pretty bad, scared me and I got her slowed down. Any speed over 47mph and she started swaying.

I have had heavier loads on the trailer, have gone much faster but in this case the trailer didn’t like that load at all. Trailers tires aren’t the best, they need replaced but have never had that much sway before.

Duramax 2500HD hauling a F350 XL, dually, V10, 4x4, 6 speed truck, 11ft flatbed on 20ft deck over trailer.

I got it home, just drove 47mph with hazards on, took about an hour and half to get home lol all because I didn’t have a second driver.

^^^ No disrespect meant yet by loading it rear to the front you put most of the weight on the back of the trailer beyond the axles. best case scenario is with 60% of the weight in front. Not that I'm one to talk, I once hauled an oversized, top heavy concrete mixer 90 miles home on a snowmobile trailer; I never went over 30 mph. It was a long freaking ride... in the rain.

As far as some people calling other people stupid. Someone who lives in a glass house shouldn’t throw stones.

Not a person in this room that hasn’t done something stupid, it prob wasn’t documented for others to enjoy.

When I was a kid, my first truck was a 99 F150 2wd with a 4.2 v6. I’ll tell you what if it fit in that bed it got hauled, stone, firewood, you name it. I’m sure I could have landed on this thread at some point.

I had no idea then what GVW was, how to properly balance a load etc. people aren’t born with that knowledge. I really didn’t learn that till I started hauling tractors and researched how big of a trailer I needed and the truck to match. I traded my F150 for a F350 dually.

But my point is, if you all could ease up on the name calling, that would be great. I have almost unfollowed this thread before because of how people are mocked. Some of what people do is a bit extreme and who knows what their situation was when they did what they did. Just enjoy other peoples failures lol.

Here’s my entry for the day. Aside from the lack of an oversized load flag it wasn’t that bad. I had a 2” strap in each corner, the winch in the front and a chain on the back. I doubt it weighed over 3000 pounds so it wasn’t overloading my truck.IMG_4481.JPG

Where are the escort vehicles front and back ?

Gees

It’s only 10 feet so not that much over width. None of the commercial shed moving companies around here have escort vehicles.

My dump truck weighs 7000 pounds total and 3400 on the front axle. I bet his truck is similar. Look how bad the tow vehicle is squatted. It couldn’t take much more anyway. His truck will probably outweigh mine since it’s 4x4 and has a longer bed. Id bet it’s still pretty close to balanced.

This makes me recall that years ago I moved a similar shed on a 4 place heavy duty snowmobile trailer. I towed it with a Grand Cherokee though the middle of the next city over. It was no more than a 20 min drive at 35mph max but an odd thing to see in my rear view mirror. Hindsight says it wasn't the brightest thing to do but it got done. I don't recall how or if I strapped it down. :confused3:
