Man I might have to buy some of those 1k lb casters, saw the email but forgot to check it out, thanks for the reminder.

Yeah saw those... the shipping cost dimmed my spirits a bit though. Over $15ea to my door. Might still get 4 for my DIY plywood sheet cart. The HF 8in pneumatic wheels I am using now aren't holding air... and they've been slimed.

$15 for what looks like a quality 1k caster with brake still isn't bad.

I need to make a equipment dolly for my brake so those should work well.

Agreed. Still looks to be a decent deal. I have mounted many tools, bench tables, vertical steel storage cabinets all with HF casters. Happy with all except the pneumatic tire versions.

These are a bit bigger the typical HF I use and want them for a heavyset duty application

My brake weighs over 3k lbs, I don't really trust any of the HF casters with heavy stuff.

It's hard to find decent casters in this weight, especially with the urathane wheel.

I hope that you put some really wide angle for legs on that thing; we always bolted ours to the floor.

The Surplus Center is great! This is where we buy lots of items from, including most of our actuators. You can even ask them a qestion, and get an actual answer. No more HF junk here!

Looks like four each can be shipped for about $15 total.

For your area yes, for me it's just over $26 shipping for 4.

Looks like a 10ft finger (box) brake correct ? Have a regular 10 ft bake and 4ft stomp sheer for our sheet metal work

It's an 8ft but but has a 12g capacity.
Still looking for a good 4+ft sheer, until then I have access to a 3ft and 6ft.

That's a killer deal on the 4"x24"x2" hydraulic cylinder, if I only needed a couple.....hmmm.........

Just got 8 of the casters and they are sure nice. $100.00 for the 8 or 12.50 each. Can't beat that.

Wish they were closer to me, the shipping can be a real killer for those of us on the coasts.

Quite possibly you are right!

I paid less than $13 each ($206.95 for 16) for them, and I live in the mountains of central California. Should be delivered tomorrow. I'm going to build implement dollies.

Ok, for those of us who didn't get the email. Which casters are you referring to? I went to their web site and they have lots of them starting about $7 for 1k load rating for a swivel w/ brake and roller/ball bearings, but a phenolic wheel. To me, phenolic means the old WW2 bakelite stuff that was used to mold all kinds of things. It's pretty durable but brittle.

on edit: Never mind, I think I found what y'all are refering to. It's the 1050# swivel with a green poly tread. That looks really good, I will probably order some myself for implement dollies.

Thanks for the feedback... will be $115 for 8 to my door. No tax but $43 in shipping... a bit ridiculous IMO. I did push the button though.
