Hope you heal fast Buppies!

My Mom has DishTV and the other day the sound stopped. Today I took my spare bedroom TV over there and hooked it up and it also had no sound. So I called the DishTV repairman to come out and take a look at their end. They will be out surprisingly Sunday afternoon. I left my TV in Mom's extra bedroom.

When I got home my TV's on light came on but the screen is black and there is no sound. I do not have DishTV I have OTA TV. Now the on light does not come on. All the trouble shooting does not work so it looks like I have to get my spare TV back from Mom's and start looking for a new main TV. The Samsung is the TV that had trouble so I'm a little leery about getting another.

Any suggestions on which TV to get It can be up to 54" wide (wide not diagonal)?

A little bit of good news. I put the two ducks in a dog cage in the garage last night. This morning I heard light quacking from a clump of weeds. One of the Indian Runner ducks, who had been escaping from the chicken pen, turns out went broody and has a nest there with 6 eggs.

So as it stands now-- 3 living ducks (one of which is the Rouen mallard), 1 duck confirmed dead (Rouen female), and 1 duck I guess should be listed as missing-in-action, presumed-dead.

I need to talk to the hunter neighbors about how it would be if I got a hunting license. Their territory here, as I understand, has its maximum number of members-- people wait for the old ones to retire to get in-- but maybe they could make a special "only killing foxes" category of membership for me.

Good morning all, 55 this morning going to 73 with an 80% chance of showers. Grass is getting out of hand but I guess I will have to wait a bit for it to at least kinda dry off. Planning on an easy day.

Buppies, prayers for a speedy recovery sent your way.

Prayers for all in need, have a great day. Ed

Good morning all. Had my first ever go at using 2 pack epoxy primer paint yesterday. I was applying it by brush, over a zinga undercoat in the hope that it would give the steel a rust resistant finish to outlast me. Instructions warned the fumes were not at all nice, so as it was a rare windless day, I painted outside under an awning, with charcoal filters on my mask (Oops, sorry Wng, I should have said 3M mask :)). After carefully measuring from each can at the recommended 7:1 ratio and mixing well, it was a little thinner than I had expected, though quite easy to apply. All good and ready to apply another coat today.

Or maybe not so good - when I looked again a couple of hours later the paint had sagged and run everywhere, with epoxy stalactites hanging underneath. The lesson wasn't over though, just before dusk fluffy dandelion seeds took off from a distant field and in a daring raid parachuted onto the only bit of unblemished but still sticky surface. :weepy:

Cajun, that must have been a good catch for you to be able to replace all your lightning fried electrical equipment and still come out on top. What kind of fish were you going for ?

Wish I had some of that rain. We got about .01" last night after midnight.

.14 so far since last night, going to rain most of day here, light rain though later they say possibly some flooding, so they really don't know. Wow, North of here, MD, PA, they are just getting clobbered with all this rain. Sorry Bird we can't send some your way.

70 degrees going up a few today, sure not going to get the lawn mowed today. In between the rain I'm headed out to pull weeds in the corn patch. At least with the rain the weeds are easier to pull.

Buppies, take it easy today. And tell those docs to stop picking on you...

I hope RS is doing ok too.

Mostly, was the transom on your old boat too far gone to fix? What are you looking for now?

40 and going to a high of 61. Wind ESE 14 gusting to 23. Periods of rain.

I gave the grass a clipping yesterday. Right after I got the last of the cameras up and wired in.

I have a couple of bald spots on the lawn that need some seed and will do that in the rain, provided it isn't a pounding gully washer.

Happy long weekend to the Canucks here, the rest of you have a safe and happy weekend
