".... But I think that is possibly making me a better pilot."- David

I think it will. If you feel comfortable piloting "Line of Site" you have a decent chance of piloting it back to launch site if there is a "glitch" in the First Person View transmission or the flightcontroller's autopilot functions and you need to rely on LOS and piloting skills.

I learned to fly "Line of Sight" on really cheap Fixed Pitch Heli's and quadcopters. I am having all kinds of problems flying First Person View from a monitor. I need to sit down. For all practical purposes I use FPV only to give me a quick view of what I am videoing or trying to video.

I enjoy just cruising around doing circles and figure 8's and staying within my property boundaries. ;) And not bothering anyone.

I really like the P3P. I do not like the tracking and no fly zone operation by "by design" with the flightcontroller data collection systems, but I fly "by the book" so it really is not an issue.

Got 4 new blinds up today. They been sitting on the floor for months. 2 were up already, but they rubbed the window sill. Ended up cutting 2" square blocks from scrap 1/2" oak plywood, nailed them above the trim, then put blind bracket on.

I have analog and ip video recorders. Like ip better, but they all work about 5 yrs then die. Probably have 10 or so cameras up.
IP system was qsee 8 channel sytem that came with 6 cameras. Recorder failed after a few yrs, bought a dahua 8 channel recorder to replace it. Qsee is a relabeled dahua. I decided if i want more that 8 channels i would do 2 systems instead of 1. My analog system supports 16 cameras, i have some i havent put up.

Went to church, went to breakfast, went for a long walk around the property and beyond, did some shopping at the dollar store, Sams Club, and Harbor Frieght, she loves HF! She tried out the front end loader, she needs a little polish on it, she can drive the tractor fine though, grew up on a farm. We had some serious talks and some hijinks, great weekend! I think we both hated to see it end.

Congrats Randy, you are doing great!

Nice day today, ran some errands, lunch out, cleaned up the shop a bit, cooked salmon on the grill. Life is good.

Have a good one!

Weather for next week moving north then south. As a rule though not always what is shown generally ends up more north. Time will tell but if I were a betting person Thomas gets more snow

Good Evening All!
Cold weather here in NH and definitely no tractor
time since the last storm. Too dang cold!:(

Buppies - as the renowned 'Good Morning' weather guru,
hope you can answer a question regarding the weather
model image that I've included below. What are the
numbers in the color bar across the top of the image?

ECMWF.JPG

I see now that there maybe a bit of snow in our
immediate future now, instead of skirting south of us!
I've had enough for this winter!

Liquid precipation amounts, the squiggly lines are barometric pressure

Will that buy me more bear pictures?

I hope you're right, but we need some rain inbetween now and 2 weeks before mother's day.

Did you get any of the storms? They had hail in Giddings, Caldwell and Bryan/College Station. We were on the cusp of the last thunderstorm, got some lightning and thunder, and a short period of hard rain.

No nothing here, but my cousin in tangle wood had hail on the ground that looked like snow.

Two more explosions in Austin, now 5, looks like they have a serial bomber.

Sounds like you had a wonderful, "perfect" day... What more could you ask... A lady that can drive a tractor :D

Thanks, Buppies! Is precipitation in inches or inches/hour?
I haven't seen any bears in a while but when I do, I'll do
my best to get photos of them. With spring just around the corner :cool2:,
they should be moving around again, that is if this cold weather will let up!

Roy that's too cold...maybe I can send some of the 60's weather here up your way.
I think Toppop is heating up MD enough that should help...:D (all good)
Rain and warmer weather coming in, low of 53 tonight.
Rain due in this afternoon, going to be busy until then working on getting some grass seed down.

I have four rows of taters in, think I'm going to hill the last and fifth row and see if that makes a difference.
So far no potatoes have popped up. Pretty cold nights though, next week....
I also might disc my neighbor's field but it's still pretty wet in there. But more rain is coming so it's wet or too wet, take my pick...

A fine Monday morning to you all.
