Coffee is done brewing. 33° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 38° with drizzle and fog in afternoon. Never made it to dog show. Wife did not feel good enough to go. So I played outside clearing ice dams from walkways and drive. Today I am going to work in cellar removing a old vent pipe for a range we had years ago. Then put new insulation back in.
Don you can get all kinds of RFID sleeves and cards off Amazon to use with your current wallet. My wallet is protected by my driver licenses on one side a card on the other side. Licenses in is in a sleeve, Because it is an Enhanced one that allows me to cross the US border from Canada and Mexico.
Best wishes and prayers Riptides, Buckeye, Toppop, Ed and others needing them.
Good Morning All.

Cats are carnivores. They would die on an all plant based diet, just like we would die on an all animal based diet. So the question is do you just eat herbivores or do you also eat carnivores?

Yes I do! LOL
I’ve had cats since I was snot 2, Lynn was feeding around 36 outdoors. I have that down to 7-8 and taking them to the shelter weekly.

I grew up on a farm although dad worked at the Ford plant over in Norfolk. We had burn piles and a dump in the woods. That’s the way it was. We killed hogs, had chickens, etc...

Got cold here! 27 this morning going to 57 today 60’s tomorrow.

28 going to a high of 32. Wind ENE 5 mph. 40% chance of flurries today. That will be the little low I saw coming from Manitoba yesterday. We now have a winter storm watch. I watch every storm, that is my story and I am sticking to it.
Winter storm watch in effect for:

North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa
West Nipissing - French River

Winter storm beginning Monday and continuing into Tuesday.

A Colorado low is forecast to cross the lower Great Lakes for the start of the work week.

Snow is forecast to spread across portions of Northeastern Ontario beginning near midday on Monday. The snowfall will become heavier Monday afternoon and Tuesday night before tapering off later on Tuesday. Significant accumulations of 15 to 20 centimeters (6-8") are likely. Some freezing rain is also possible for Manitoulin into the North Bay area Monday night into Tuesday. Blowing snow will also develop Monday afternoon and continue into Tuesday.

Conditions will improve over the Sault Ste. Marie area Tuesday morning and late Tuesday afternoon towards the North Bay area.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. For information on emergency plans and kits go to Get Prepared / Preparez-vous

We might get a piece of this action, then again we might not. I am greedy, I want all of it. We could use another 8" of snow here.

I have a steel roof on the house. Snow sticks to the steel and when it warms up the snow slides off the roof and the cats panic and head for the basement.

I've got nothing planned for today, although I might pile some firewood later.

Have a safe day all,

Will you keep one for mouse protection and another to keep the mouser company?

Good morning! Up too early. 66˚ good Texas Winter day.

I did not use my CC in Austin yesterday and the two places that recorded my number being used were about 5 miles from Costco about 5 hours after I left Austin. I'm trying to backtrack to remember the people that were close enough to scan me but there are just too many with the crowds in Costco on a Saturday. Thanks for the leads on the shielding wallet.

I found my Senior Federal Park Pass in the glove box of my wife's Subaru. Figures, the day I find it the government shuts down and I can't use it.

I have three in the house, my favorite sweet kitties outside are already gone. Not sure how that will work. If I can get the old momma kitty fixed I might keep her and one of the young ones.

I have had both cat and dog, both were very tasty. When in Rome..... Ed

Exactly, all flesh taste the same with the right spices. I'm trying to get the people out here who prepare vegetable side dishes to use spices instead of spiced meat to spice the vegetables, but they just don't get it. You don't need a carrier with fat and cholesterol to get the right taste for people with heart disease and about half of the people out here have heart disease.

I woke with a sore left rotator cuff this morning, don’t understand it, I didn’t pitch yesterday and I’m right handed anyway!

30 right now...high of 37 today. Supposed to rain tomorrow....guess I should get all the snow off the walks today and hope it doesn't freeze up.
I normally leave a covering of snow on the walks...better traction than ice.

30 right now, not much change over thr course of the day.

Freezing rain coming tomorrow, and overnight tomorrow. They say there will be a fair amount of accumulation, so maybe power outages. Bummer!

Have to unravel the ATV Winch today. Took it off yesterday, and it was wound up so tight, but I could not use the winch. In fact, I broke the cable. Will have to cut the cable with a hacksaw. This happens because I am using the winch to raise and lower the snow plow, and of course it only goes up a few inches. This tends to wind up the cable very tight and it sometimes blinds.

I used a boat trailer winch strap when I had an Eagle Plow on my Gator. As you wrote, there's only several inches of travel. The strap holds up better then a cable.

I had a small tractor that I used winches front and rear for a Swisher bucket and back blade. I saw that issue some but I had pulley blocks and they seem to help as they allow a little more cable to be used.

Same here, can't get collards unless they have been cooked in some pork fat. The owner of the local grill down the street from me just had to
get a stent put in. Yet zero in his tiny restaurant qualifies as heart healthy. Cause and effect, just like Don says.

24 out this AM, heading to 60.

Managed to get outside yesterday, for the grill, at dinner time. Noticed the floodlights were out on that side of the patio. Will need to get the extension ladder out and replace a bulb or two. Cannot being grilling in the dark.

Have a great day all, be safe!

When I cook Fordhooks or black eyed peas all I use is low sodium chicken broth. Don’t add any other meat.

Chicken broth is a go to in my fridge. Saw it this AM, back behind the Kale I plan on doing today. LOL.

My parents were very fond of bacon grease for cooking. Even spreading it on fresh rye, with a nice dose of salt. I tried that with my wife once and she thought I was crazy. I miss my moms cooking horribly.
