Good morning!!!!

Kyle, thanks for posting about the peanut mill. I needed a few last minute gifts.

You are welcome. I hope you are able to get a good tree for the kids. (Note: some of the older ladies at our church are the most vocal about getting a HUGE tree at great expense.)

Hope all are doing well and staying warm. For all of you vintage tractor lovers this is a 1965 JD pedal tractor. It was purchased by my dad for my younger brother. About 6 months ago it was found when cleaning out one of my uncles tractor trailer buried under old implements. Missing a seat, one rear wheel and steering wheel and covered with rust it was on the way to the scrap heap. It was spotted by a friend who happens to be the director of one of the state fair tractor museums who took it for parts for others at the fair. On Friday he returned it to me sandblasted, painted and completely refurbished. It will put a big smile on my 3 year old grandson on Christmas Day.
Thank you Dave
Merry Christmas

That's really awesome for your friend to restore that like new for your grandson. I hope he enjoys it. IIRC, they will spin 1 wheel if you turn tightly. (No locking differential :) )

The one we got was 12.5' tall by 7' wide, had a little overflow in my 5'X10' trailer. Your church ladies would have been proud.

There's a cowboy stewing in the Instant Pot.

Guess who's comin' fer dinner?

I land at Oroville Municipal airport at 6 p.m. Pick me up?

You will enjoy the Cowboy Stew. Hope you didn’t spare the jalapeños?

I’m fixing a pot of red beans and rice with jalapeño sausage. . This is Don’s fault! He mentioned IP red beans and rice the other day.

Got a start cutting around one of our ponds this afternoon.

The Swisher walk behind string cutter, from TSC, works well but ..... it’s not self propelled. I broke a sweat in 52 degree weather.

My big breakthrough is the new .155 trimmer line I’ve discovered for it. The yellow line I previously used would last 5-10 minutes then break. I was able to cut, what I completed today with no line breaks.

Amazon.com : Trimmer Line .155 Lg Donut Black Vortex Line : Lawn Mower Parts : Garden & Outdoor

I started using the same brand, in .105, back in the Spring and it wears like iron, even trimming around concrete walks and patios.

Here's our tree, not sure of height.

RNG, love your restoration pics. I'm gonna have my buddy pick me up in his supercub and we'll find some place near to land. Pick us up on your way to pick up Rick.

A friend of my wifey just brought over 2 dozen homemade tamales.

That brings the count to 7 dozen tamales we'll be eating over the Christmas holidays.

3 dozen pork
2 dozen beef
1 dozen bean
1 dozen chicken

We are "loaded for bear" when it comes to tamales...maybe I won't need to fly out to California after all.

Smelling my red beans and rice now Kyle so, I’m rethinking dinner in N. Cali too.

What everyone needs to decorate a tall tree.

(I posted this on another thread for fun, I thought I'd post it here too.)

You bet! 'Cept there's no airport in Oroville, I don't think they've ever heard of airplanes. But however you get here, you've got a ride, hot meal, and warm bed waitin'!:D

You will enjoy the Cowboy Stew. Hope you didn稚 spare the jalape?s?

I only used one, and I scraped out the seeds. I'm not a big jalape? fan, not because of the heat, but because of the taste. Love chipotles (smoked jalape?s), but it turns out just one jalape? and the other spices make a very nice stew with just the right amount of zing. Mmmmm! Next time I'll substitute chipotles, and I won't spare 'em.

Keep talkin' like that, RL, and yer gonna turn the Good Morning!!!! thread into a cooking bee. But go ahead, I'd love to see that red beans'n'rice recipe!:licking:

Bring all you want, Kyle. Plenty of room in the back of the F250, enough even for somma them tomales:licking:. But it looks like I better stock up on chipotles, rice, and beans (not to mention ribeyes, ouch!)

Don't know how to break the it you RNG but OROville has an airport with 2 runways, 6,000 ft and 3500 ft. Bit short for most Commercial jets, but most GA piston aircraft can use it with ease :D

Good evening all. 45F for the start, cloudy, light mist, calm wind and .6 inch rain in the gauge!! Overcast remained all day, wind stayed light and high temp was 50F. Last choir Christmas concert was this morning, tomorrow start work on January's music. Nap before lunch, and fired up WBS for dinner.

warm air has settled in for awhile, 46 out now, going up to low sixties today in clouds.
Have some errands to run this morning, but nothing big planned.
Need to do something outside today, the warmth may be here today, but it could be gone tamale.

in the process of joining the local garden club. Found out last night there is at least one man in it already, good....
I'd love to put a dozen volunteers to work on my place...
And while garden clubs usually just stick with flowers, as long as this isn't all flower arranging for vases,
I'm sure it will be interesting. They also have a Master Gardener program locally, for which the garden club appears to be
the farm team.

My little five foot Bushhog BH-15 is due in this week, long overdue frankly. Going to put that on the little Massey and clear out some woods.

The mantle over the fireplace in my kitchen is overflowing with Christmas cards with smiling faces and lots of kids on them. All good. All my friends
have pics of their grandchildren and like RNG I am happy to live vicariously through them. I even gave my best friend a big battery powered John Deere kid's tractor
so he could have his two very small grandson's ride it when they came to visit. He says they will now never leave...their entire extended family is now excited, buzzed even over this little plastic tractor.
Hey, just teaching them early the importance of tractors, right?

The picture of the Christmas tree in church is moving. I could just stare at that awhile. I don' t have to believe in the specifics to
be moved by the symbolism and the meaning of hope at Christmas. Big churches with stained glass windows just do something for me.
Am moved and humbled.

Good morning all, 39 this morning going to 55 and partly sunny. Don't know what I will do today except take mom to the doc. Took it easy yesterday.

RNG, When you said "guess who is coming over" the first thing that popped into my mind was, cannibals?

Dab, That is a blessing. wow

Kyle, beautiful tree in a beautiful Church.

Praying for you guys. Ed

35 going to 58...got a shower last night.

All of these stews and IP meals are making me hungry. I almost clicked on the IP on Amazon for $79, but wanted to talk with my wife...then when I later looked and it was nearly double that price.

RNG, if you don't much like the jalapeno chile flavor, then try a Hatch or Anaheim. If the Texas crowd doesn't come, then maybe the Virginia/North Carolina/Maryland gang will come out for some Cali hospitality.

Great dog pic, guarding the restored JD pedal tractor, DABSGT.

Roasted some coffee last night to take to some friends who invited us to dinner. I think they like dark coffee, so I chose a Sumatra and a Papua New Guinea, and roasted them a bit darker than I normally do, but just can't bring myself to totally roast the subtle flavors out with a dark Vienna roast.

Drew, by harvest time, you're gonna need to add a combine to your collection :).

Dentist today...then might take wife to a new pizza place so she can get a gluten free pizza - it's a chain place, but looks good...Mellow Mushroom...anybody had their pizza?
