A quick good morning from me, then I need to get out and do something about the grass that is encroaching on the the electric fencing while we have a short window of dry weather and get spraying before the wind picks up again.

67 and drizzle...got a small rain from Irma last night. We were lucky after seeing the photos of Texas and Florida. So far Jose looks like a near miss...

Cut some more 8 foot firewood "logs"...fortunately these were only 4 to 6 in diameter and I didn't have to carry them quite as far. Filled the grapple twice and added them to the pile to cut rounds before moving on to some mowing...needed to get the area done around the pecans and walnut trees and up around the drive. Saw some nice pecans that I hope the squirrels don't find.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 54° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 77° with chance of some rain in afternoon. Need a rest day. Got friends motorhome repairs done yesterday. But was I tired at end of day.

good morning all. Warmer nicer day today, 68 now going to mid 80's.
We got almost no rain at all yesterday, so much for the hurricane.
Like others, almost feel guilty watching the pictures of an incredible number of people being homeless and out of electricity.
I have lived in S. Florida and trying to do anything at this time of year without a/c is awful.
My friend's house in Delray Beach only had minor damage; they are still in N. Florida with friends who have a big home and 45k Generac generator that has been running and running.They are headed down to their home today.

Because of no rain, I'm watering young trees today. Then I will likely clean up my welding area, get my Kubota back in the barn, and be ready for rains tomorrow.
