CWB is telling us the moose are loose!

The first year we lived in Bethel (we're about 2 miles north of the town proper), a moose (pretty sure it was a female) came ambling by...just on the other side of the backyard fence. She wasn't in any hurry and definitely not bothered by our boxer (inside the fence) barking.
I guess she was out for a stroll...

I'll see moose in the fields now and then...never as close as the big ol' critter walking by the fence though

64° and .32 inches rain last 24 hours. Sunny now.

Firmware upgrade was a success. Going into Hilo later.

Such a tragedy in Manchester. My heart goes out to those grieving.

I think it's time to close down and repurpose the Guantanamo Country Club. Make it into an international clearing house based on Nuremberg trials with max stay of 90 days.

Be safe
Have a great day

Going into Hilo later.

You know, David, I used to work for Wicks Organ Company. There was a pipe organ they'd built in the early '60s for the Higashi Hongwanji Buddhist Temple in Hilo, HI. I was always trying to convince the company President that he should send me to inspect/repair that instrument, as I was the only Buddhist who'd ever worked there. :D It didn't work, unfortunately, but was worth trying nonetheless.

Saddened by senseless violence as others have commented..

Still feeling the muscle soreness of digging and running backhoe.. Planning permanent fix for water leak. We have several ways to go, not sure yet so will get a bunch of parts in town and have on hand to go several ways.

Then I need to dig up and repair/replace two freeze hydrants (one is plugged up from crap in lines, the other had the shaft break when I turned it on the other day)... the physical work is good for me, it gives my mind a break from the daily grind.

A shame you couldn't make that happen.
Apparently Hilo is home to a number of pipe organs. Perhaps a well known one that being restored is at the Palace Theater. Have a friend who is an organist.

Rather familiar with Big Green Egg as their headquarters/store was quite near where we lived in Atlanta an regularly saw them on display. Thinking we'd like one we stopped in one day. WOW, couldn't even afford a used smaller one taken in on trade!!!!!! That ended any thoughts of ownership. However, Atlanta is also home to another company, Primo. They actually make the units on premises, as opposed to the BGE being imported. Very nice units, better prices. Bought a blemished unit and shipped when we moved. Love it when I want to wait for charcoal vs gas. Made some awesome turkeys and roasts over the years and the marinated shrimp from Sunday are all gone.

Prayers for manchester.

Cool, wet evening, 58°. Did get oil changed in husqvarna mower. Also fixed the headlight wiring, so I now have lights. Replaced one bulb with LED.
Tomorrow is youngest last day of HS. Wow, time flew by.
Got 2 hummingbirds at flowers, first was red, this one green. Now red came back. We don't put sugar out, but they like our flowers.

Don, hope your parents get well. Been almost a yr since my mom passed. Visited dad sat night on return trip from Arkansas, doesn't have the strength to do much anymore. Wish I wasn't so far away.

Ron, Gonna sell the RV?

Drew, I'm on BP meds, inherited that I think.

It is cool sitting on the porch swing, and the cat wants to keep digging with sharp claws.

Ron if you sell your motor home is another in your future? Always thought it would've fun but better half not so much
No new motorhome in the plans. We started traveling in 2005 during the winter. Which included a visit with the TBN TX. Group. Time to start staying closer to home. May rent a place in AZ if we decide that winter is to cold for us up north.
Owning a Motorhome is like having a second home. Only more work and expense. Took 11 years to figure that out.
Looks like it's sold. Only need to figure out how to get money from his bank to mine.
