Good evening all. 64F this morning, clear and windy. Today's high was 84F, wind blew pretty hard and clear sky. THis morning, finished up the wood pile and helped with cleaning lady prep. This afternoon got post for new mailbox installed.

45 right now...high in the upper 50's today and, probably, a little rain.

55F and clear @ 04:00 ... calling for sunny and a high of 80F today, could really dry things up quite a bit.

Then 50% chance of a thunderstorm on Thursday, sunny again on Friday. Looking at the gap in the middle of the system to the west of us, we might end up getting nothing.

Had intermittent light rain off that east coast system yesterday morning, cleared out early and no standing puddles ... dried out quickly.

Got the 8 or so posts pulled out for the neighbor day before yesterday ... fortunately they weren't concreted in so they came right up.

Also ran down to the LLMS and picked up the muffler for the Trac Vac. Started squirting the broken off bolt in the jug with PB B'laster ... getting it out looks like it will be a real treat ... not much in the way of a good lip to get a punch or chisel on and the intake/carb is kinda in the way too. Nonetheless I'm gonna try that before I commit to drilling and tapping it.

Wife and I weeded out the planting bed at the southeast corner of the house and I dumped another bucket of composted dirt into it. It will get used as a temporary bed for some lilies next to the well head that I need to remove so I can work on that area.

Had a look at the oaks we transplanted last year ... all of them made it through the winter. Lost one from the previous year's transplanting attempt tho' ...

Yesterday I finished pruning the 3 or 4 junipers around the gas meter, pruned up two crab apples and weeded around one lilac, three plantings of pampas grass, and the hosta bed at the base of one of the crab apples. Also saw the first blue bird of the season yesterday.

Will drop the box blade and loader off the Kubota in a couple hours and and stick the MMM on and get the front lawns done today.

End of season closeout crab apples from TSC:

63 currently going to low 80s today. 91 predicted for Saturday.

going to be a busy day today. Trying something I haven't done before, hauling my Kubota tractor in someone else's trailer locally. 5 ton trailer, 3 ton tractor, should be ok. I have a few super heavy commercial tie downs I'm going to use today for the first time. Just knew they would come in handy....first thing I'm going to do is make sure he checked the air in his tires; this is my landscaper fireman helper and he is usually pretty careful, but....thankfully with Kubota financing (last payment in October-yeah) full all risk insurance comes with it, though of course not for free, so at least if the tractor is damaged off premises it will be covered.
going down at first light to take weight box off tractor and put rear blade on; then off to my friend's home near the River where he is going to dump a tilt trailer worth of ABC crusher run gravel and then we'll redo a small private sand driveway.

Having a hard time keeping up with tall fescue I planted in nut orchard. I think it's growing more than an inch a day, amazing. Next to it is a field of winter wheat that is the most beautiful blue green color, more green of course, but should be a bumper crop the way it's growing. Rain cycles have been perfect and the one yesterday will take the crop to harvest. 6 inches of rain should make everything just leap out of the ground. And my water wagon can stay in the shed for a while.

New farm jack came in yesterday, got a call from my elderly mail carrier lady asking ever so nicely if I could go pick up some boxes at the PO because they were too heavy for her. To save cost I'm sure, Amazon is now sending a lot more through USPS and they just don't have the delivery equipment for it. Most of the delivery folks in this area that aren't UPS or Fedex are driving personal cars, trucks; one guy delivers packages in an open pick up bed. That's not right... So I went down and picked up my 60 inch Hi Lift jack, which is required when I go on the Hatteras beach in a couple of weeks. That plus a shovel and tow ropes are required, not recommended. I can't imagine using the jack; I'd get pulled out by any truck going by; all the guys at the beach seem to help each other and pulling each other out of the sand seems to be normal course. I intend to spend much of my week shore vacation parked by the water. I have an annual beach pass and a lifetime fishing license. Neither of which I have any idea whatsoever how to use. Should be fun!

57 outside this AM. Misting with warmer temperatures moving in. Weather people are yapping about humidity already. Will sit back today and watch the grass grow. Probably order some windows for my Milk House project and get some contracts lined up for the next few months.
Have a great day all. Be safe.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 54° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 78° with mix of sun and clouds. Made it home with no problems. Got some of the stuff out of motorhome. Continue with that today and cut lawn. Neighbor already did it one time for me.
Good Morning All.

57 and mist going to 77. May even see the sun for the first time in several days.

Let the woodstove fire go out yesterday...sure felt good over the cool rainy spell, and is by far the latest in the season I have burned for 37 years.

51 high of 80 today and no rain

46 and going to a high of 61F. 40% chance of showers. Wind E 6 mph.

Gonna strip the wet/damp insulation out of the attic today and tomorrow replace it with the Roxal. I ended up with 6 bags of R-22 x 16".

My upstairs woodstove has been out for the past 2 weeks. Downstairs in the basement it is burning to keep the dampness out.

Try to stay dry people.
