55F and clear @ 04:00 ... calling for sunny and a high of 80F today, could really dry things up quite a bit.
Then 50% chance of a thunderstorm on Thursday, sunny again on Friday. Looking at the gap in the middle of the system to the west of us, we might end up getting nothing.
Had intermittent light rain off that east coast system yesterday morning, cleared out early and no standing puddles ... dried out quickly.
Got the 8 or so posts pulled out for the neighbor day before yesterday ... fortunately they weren't concreted in so they came right up.
Also ran down to the LLMS and picked up the muffler for the Trac Vac. Started squirting the broken off bolt in the jug with PB B'laster ... getting it out looks like it will be a real treat ... not much in the way of a good lip to get a punch or chisel on and the intake/carb is kinda in the way too. Nonetheless I'm gonna try that before I commit to drilling and tapping it.
Wife and I weeded out the planting bed at the southeast corner of the house and I dumped another bucket of composted dirt into it. It will get used as a temporary bed for some lilies next to the well head that I need to remove so I can work on that area.
Had a look at the oaks we transplanted last year ... all of them made it through the winter. Lost one from the previous year's transplanting attempt tho' ...
Yesterday I finished pruning the 3 or 4 junipers around the gas meter, pruned up two crab apples and weeded around one lilac, three plantings of pampas grass, and the hosta bed at the base of one of the crab apples. Also saw the first blue bird of the season yesterday.
Will drop the box blade and loader off the Kubota in a couple hours and and stick the MMM on and get the front lawns done today.
