Another satisfied Weber (Genesis Gold) owner. Had it about 10 years. Wife finds it very easy to use and does well with it. The only parts that have been replaced are the cheap chrome swinging "warmer" grates and the original cover. The "Classic Ravenna" covers are great, long lasting even in full sun, and have a super warranty. Ravenna BBQ Grill Cover

Bought the 3 burner Genesis years ago but left it behind when we moved. Was used frequently 52 weeks/year but the salt air did require one rebuild of the burners, flavor bars and a few of the ignitors. Didn't break the bank and parts were readily available at Home Depot. I got a Summit 6 burner as a gift and while it is a nice grill it is a gas hog (have to light all 6 burners to get proper prep) and for the most part we don't need all that space for the two of us. Will keep that for when it's needed but looking to downsize back to the 3 burner. I see they offer the cheaper Spirit model now but wonder if that isn't the same cheap junk offered by Thermos and others.

I had a Weber gas grill but about five years ago it finally gave out(had been in use for 15+ years). The grill always sat out on the porch - so it was exposed to the weather all year. My motorcycle riding buddy had a Genesis Infrared gas grill but after a couple years he went to one of these new pellet fired grill/smoker units. It sure gave a smoky flavor to everything and there is quite a variety of different "flavor" pellets available.

If & when I ever get another grill - I'm going to have to figure out some place to put it - out of the weather. I like to use a grill all year round. Nothing quite like standing out on the porch - up to your knees in snow - and using the BBQ unit.

I have a dynamic cooking systems 48 in gas grill . i highly recommend it , except for the price . this is what I have , it cooks great .

Amazon.com: DCS : BGB48BQARL 48 Gas Grill on Cart, 4-25, BTU Burners, Heavy-Duty Rotisserie Motor - LP: Patio, Lawn & Garden

The best part Is I got it for free in excellent shape , one of my customers had an outdoor kitchen installed and didnt want it anymore .

That is the only way I could afford to own one is if it was free

We have two propane grills. We went with Infrared for the second of those two. I don't care for it at all and much prefer using the one without Infrared. It may be that I do not know what I am doing, but the problems I see are first it takes a lot longer to grill things on an Infrared than on a traditional grated grill, and second, there is more cleaning to do as you need to clean the grates and the metal Infrared piece below the grates (they have quite small holes - which is why, I think, they don't give out the same amount of heat). I am thinking of getting rid of the lower metal Infrared pieces but don't know how that would affect the overall use of the grill, or if safe or whatever. It may just be me, but my wife also reached the same conclusions after we got the Infrared grill.

Maybe I need to replace the usual grates AND the metal infrared pieces (have very small holes) with grill grates as that would seem to resolve the issue.

I like the look and design of those grill grates. If and when I fix up mine, I will get some of those.

Another nice thing about the Grill Grates is that they will custom cut them to your specified size if they don't have drop-in fits for your grill. I replace my factory grates entirely with the Grill Grates, they last forever.

Ordered mine yesterday, definitely not cheap, but yours and others reviews convinced me that they were worth trying out. I even bought a new Oklahoma Joe's smoker/grill yesterday, to give the grillgrates a nice new place to sit.
