Kubota L2501 4x4 HST
After researching on here the past month I finally pulled the trigger on a L2501 with FEL, land pride rotary cutter, and a land pride box blade. Price was $18890 included filling the r4 tires and they will deliver. Have a chore list a mile long to tackle when it gets here and can hardly wait.

Nice! I have the L3200 HST with Land Pride cutter, etc and real happy with it.

The engine is 10 cu in bigger than the L3200 but - ahem - somehow lost 6.5 HP to drop below 25. It's a Festivus Miracle! Look closely I think you'll find them!

Congrats!! Sounds like a very good deal. I just got a quote on an L2501 for a friend of mine. First number from the dealer was 18,000 with ag tires, a loader, and no implements.

Sounds like my dealer might have some wiggle room. :)

I've really enjoyed my 2501DT! This thing gets in places my larger tractors wouldn't dream of and it has lots of power for 25hp. The tq is insane with this small tractor! I have R1's and loaded rears on mine. Btw, my first few tanks of diesel it really sucked it down but now that I have more hours on it, it's sips it.

Nephew just bought one and there are "special pricing" on two implements. FEL is one so picking/buying another implement at time of tractor purchase is the way to go. Nephew got L2501 FEL Rotary Mower and post hole digger and loaded tires plus delivery plus 5 years prepaid KTAC insurance for near these prices from Barlows. Oops! almost forgot...also 3 Kubota hats.:D

There's really good rebates right now on tractor and implements. 1300 and 1500 I think respectively. Check it out on Kubota.com

Wow that's a great deal! 3 hats is unheard of!

What all you doing with your L2501? Sounds like it has plenty of power. That big cube engine must work real good!

I've got 20 acres, I'll keep the fence lines mowed and also use it to grade my driveway and hauling logs for firewood. My family had 400 acres about 100 miles away that we hunt on so I forsee some food plots and shooting lane clearing also.

I do it all with this tractor! It stays attached to my box blade and I'm looking for a landscape rake for it. I have hooks welded onto the bucket and move things around my farm. Didn't get the SSQA because I knew I'd never be taking the bucket off, but for most people that would be a must have option. I also have the gear model. The dealer laughed at me when I told him how much land I had and the size of my other tractors but the 2501 fits right in and earns its keep!

Yeah I'm pretty certain that if the 2501 was turning over a few hundred more rpm it would be right up there in the 30hp range.

If I could have got that price last year I'd have a much bigger tractor.

Nevermind the fact that is't too big for my property I probably would not have been able to say no.

2200 but I'm sure it's limited somehow. If anyone figures out how to overdue that you'd have a winner.

I'll work on it when I get mine! ;0)

Not to hijack this thread, but say you could turn up the RPM on the 2501 to make it closer to the 3301. Obviously 540 PTO RPM is still going to be at the same engine RPM, so unless you want to over-clock your implements, you wouldn't be able to use the extra power for PTO tasks. Driving around sure, and draft applications definitely, but the PTO gearing would need to be changed for most implements to make use of the extra power.

Don't go ruining our dreams with your logic and reasoning! : )
