F150 ecoboost drilled my intercooler

I too drilled my inter cooler. I got no water and saw no performance change.

Did they check out the inter cooler by removing the bottom hose?

When you started your story I thought for sure it was the vacuum powered front hubs or a carrier bearing on the drive shaft.

Ok, so here we are - got the truck back from Roswell Ford who wanted to do the TSB for the intercooler basically making it less efficient to prevent condensate. I said no thank you, took my truck back and brought it to a local mechanic who drilled the whole for me (didn't have the right tools with me as I am travelling). When we drilled the hole, nothing came out. When we rev'd the engine with the foot on the brake, nothing came out. Took it for a test drive without the trailer first and on the first hill got the misfires again. So the best thing I can say is that it is most likely NOT due to intercooler condensate at this point in time, which, of course, means the Ford TSB would not have helped at all. We are no worse off at this point. The local mechanic is going to look at a few things, including fuel pressure today.

Ok, so originally I thought we had a transmission problem - was not thinking misfire, but the original service mgr who has 17 years experience said it was definitely misfires.. And, of course, now we are getting P0300 error codes, which is a random misfire.

If it's a miss fire there are only 3 possible culprits. Coils, Boots, or Plugs.

There's one other. And that is a faulty or plugged egr. It will create a lean miss at part load. They do not always throw a code either.

Hmmm, my original dealer said my VIN does not have an EGR!

It may come down to coils. I'm just stymied why all 6 would fail at roughly the same time.

Miss under load mean you possibly have a clogged fuel filter.
