David (MFW)
Glad to hear things are mostly good.
EX's and their daughters, a tough one. :(
Haven't seen my unadopted (long story) stepdaughter in over 34 years due to her Mom. Poor girl, now woman, sure has her problems, thanks mostly to Mom. Never married, very very small circle of friends, she now takes care of her Mom who is in declining health while trying to hold down a job. A couple attempts to reconnect over the years but thwarted by Mom until about 4 years ago. Now we email and FaceTime regularly. Kinda broke my heart when one day told me she realized how much she missed.

Good morning all. This should have been an active weekend for us, with family coming to stay, however my wife picked up a bug, probably while away at her craft retreat. She's looking a lot better this morning, though to avoid passing anything on (except possibly to lucky me ), told everyone best to stay away from us for a while.

I half expected farmer2009 to be the first one to say an early good morning. Nope, fortunately all quiet, so maybe baby Finley is saving his lung exercises for another night :)

Well, Coco was practicing her lung exercises since about 4am, barking at only something she could sense, so I've been up and busy. Almost time to take the hummingbird feeders back out. Eric, hope your wife's illness is short and not catching.

I have my in-laws here for a few days visit. Always a nice time.

Buckeye, glad your camping trip is going well after your bad start with the plumbing.

I'll be venturing back to the area I caught the seed ticks today. So thanks for the ideas of using scotch tape and masking tape, in case some of them failed to hop on me for a ride last time.

Should be returning to the 90s today, and maybe rain...seems as though the grass hasn't dried completely in a few weeks due to the heavy dew each morning, high humidity, and frequent rain.

69 high of 89 later today heat pump for now is fixed freed stuck TXV valve and so far so good. Second opinion if have to replace one half of first number. Stay away from ticks wngsprd. Sneezing is a thrill with nose all bandaged up but less pain today just don't bend over.

Better than two inches of rain yesterday makes for a total of 10 inches for the week and more on tap for this afternoon

Eric hope your wife feels better soon

Farmer getting much needed rest I hope for when days and notes get mixed up

David(sodamo) this makes me very sad

Buckeye is a lot smarter than me; I'm headed down to my travel trailer to clean today; he's out enjoying his in the great outdoors.
I suppose I could put in a little water feature down by the barn and start inviting in rv guests...;)

not much planned today, making a seafood dinner for a friend tonight, need to pick up the house..., and tomorrow for lunch the elderly former owners of my home are coming for a visit. They love to visit, he's in terrible shape with diabetes using a walker and a scooter, but I'll give him a tour of the place in my golf cart. He hasn't seen the new shed down by the barn. He gets such delight in coming back and visiting I try to do that for him. He built this place from scratch and I'm sure will never forget it.
Now I need to make a lunch that's ok for diabetics, have to do a little thinking about what to serve. Am going to make tuna salad, chicken salad, cottage cheese with fruit; just trying to avoid too much sugar and carbs. Apparently he isn't controlled well, shoots up into the 500's at times, not good. Know any easy to make desserts for a diabetic? I have a bunch of diabetic cook books in the kitchen, I am pre-diabetic and need to be careful... Normally I would chop up some fruit for dessert but that's full of sugar, natural or otherwise. Sure can't give him the brownies I'm making this morning for tonight's dessert.

Good Morning All, 70 here this am going to 90 with a 50% chance of T-storms this pm. Humid this morning as the window is fogged up. Likely go and check on a building for a small workshop in the backyard. Still scratching my head on what size to get. I know big but big also means more junk so....... Likely get int a bunch of other things round here but don't know what yet.

David MFW I have 3 step kids in their 20's that are in the same boat and look miserable. Prayers sent, I know what it does to your heart.

Eric. Take or eat some vitamin C, might help you not get it or at least get it less.

Daugen hope your back is OK after you try to "pick up the house" let us know if you do, would like a pic of that.

Hope you all have a great day. Ed

Need to get coffee started brewing. 61° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 83° with sunny skies. Need to knock off some maintenance cores on motorhome. Then some relaxing time on the back porch.
Eric, hope wife feels better soon.
Buckeye, keeping up with RV repairs can be a full time job. Campfire looks very inviting.
David S, isn't your fail mower new?
Roy, been looking at the Ruger .22 SR22 for awhile. Glad to hear a good report.
Good Morning All.
