Towing 100+ tons with a 2 liter diesel car.

No emergency stops allowed. :)

That reminds me of the commercial of some brand of pickup towing a '747' airplane. I'm not at all sure of exactly what that demonstrates though. I did notice that he did not have any brake lights hooked up to the railcars.

So, straps hold 10,000lbs, right? So this is good, right?

I saw no chocks or chains.

while not ideal.. it's ironically better than some I see.

I like:

1 strap on loader

1 strap on front

2 straps on rear

1 strap on mower

I can certaintly say that many times in the past I have moved a tractor with a loader and mower with 2 straps, just headed from my house to my farm 4m down the road... etc. but don't like it.

At least have some leather, or even at least cardboard, under the strap bends though.. I have had a even a little Kees walk behind cut the straps and fall off the back in as little as 1/2 mile while only trying to move it one.. In this case, since he was obviously going through town on a State Hwy, he should have thought of others and had at least one chain front and back. Shoot, even a strap front and back would have been better than what he had.

But hey, at least the tires look properly inflated

A friend nearly lost his tractor when a tire deflated on a long haul... someone drove up next to him on the Interstate honking... he pulled over and saw the strap was being dragged and the flat tire on the tractor which was enough to losen up the strap...

I don't have any kids. I just bought the bus for fun. It has an International DT360 diesel and an Allison transmission. It has 143,000 miles and I paid $2100. If I found a cab cheap it would make a heck of a flat bed truck. Especially considering I'd have around $3500 in it. You couldn't touch a diesel ton truck with similar milage for that price. It does haul wood pretty good.

Why go to that much bother. A guy back home had a long one that he cut about two seat rows back from the driver, put in a plywood wall and hauled square bales with it. He could bring along his workers (kids) to help him load too.
