I may be in the market soon for a grass catcher/bagger for my BX2360 and am interested in the GCK60-26BX model but I've found only limited information on it.

This models appears to connect via the 3 point hitch vs. the fixed mount version of the GCK60-23BX model.

Does anyone have this model that they can comment and provide feedback on as to how they like it? It seems like it may be more convenient to put on and take off than the 23BX model since you don't have to remove the 3 point arms.

Is this the newest version that Kubota has come out with to replace the GCK60-23BX model?

Thanks!

Not near my bota at current....Don't remember the model number on my catcher...I have a 2370-1 with the catcher mounted to the lift arms. On mine the lift arms are held stationary by disconnecting the short arm link. My only complaint is that the set up has to be just right or the deck to catcher delivery tube will come disconnected. The other being that wet grass will clog the chute. As suspected any sticks etc. instantly clog the tube. Its not hard to remove the boot just an annoyance. If your looking to do catching its not too bad. It has three two bussel bags.

Anyone else have any info about this specific model GCK60-26BX? I believe it came out fairly recently around 2014.

I have the 3 pt mount grass catcher on my BX22. It works fine, however there are some cons. Mounting it can be a bit of a bear, especially engaging the top link. I found that my floor hydraulic jack comes in very handy. In order for it to fill the 3 bags evenly, the unit must be level, otherwise the bag closest to the output overflows, while the one on the opposite end is nearly empty. The result of this is more frequent emptying, which slows you down when mowing. The leveling process can be tedious. I have no experience with the newer model but I imagine that the fixed mount version would be rigidly mounted and very level. My BX22 is not compatible with the newer model so I had no choice. Actually, removing the 3pt hitch would be no big deal and probably less of a PITA than mounting the earlier model, in my opinion. Other issues to be aware of, probably with either unit, is that branches and other debris can break shear bolts, which are not so accessible. Also, mowing wet grass can cause clogging problems as well as shear bolt breakage. Hope this info is useful.

Just factor in the 3 point mount sticks the bags even further away from the tractor. You have to watch that length sticking out the back on either one. If you are traveling along the house or a fence be careful turning away sharply from the wall the back end could rotate in and hit the wall.

Thanks for all of the replies so far guys! Geez...I'm starting to wonder if I even want the 3 point model. I've heard similar complaints about the older 3 point mount grass catchers and being somewhat cumbersome to get on with the top link. Hmm, decisions, decisions...

Buy some gator mulching blades and forget about it......what a pain dumping grass, not to mention wow that pile gets big and stinks.

Just to add some additional perspective. I use the grass catcher when the grass is growing fast, in the spring and early summer. I take it off July through August and put it back on for fall mowing, when it also helps with leaf clean up (it won't handle mountains of leaves but it means you don't have to be so thorough with your leaf blowing/raking). Regarding it being cumbersome: Yes it does stick out the back so you need to pay attention when backing up, but it's not a big factor with maneuverability. I'm guessing either unit sticks out about the same amount because of the PTO shaft requirement. If I had a choice I would probably opt for the frame-mount unit. Don't be put off by the need to remove the 3Pt hitch. Keep in mind that mounting the 3 PT mount unit isn't so straight forward and requires you to disconnect the lift arm links. Good luck with you decision. BTW, you can often find these units on Craigslist for a good price.
