Our US federal agents don't pay much attention to US Code. If a law does not exist they make one up. If they don't like a law they ignore it.

Actually, point-of-fact, Congress declared it so, POTUS signed it, and the Supreme Court affirmed it. Not that I like it....

I would be willing to bet real money that the solar panel is to keep the battery of the tractor in good shape when he is not using it. A simple battery charger that has no operating expense beyond the initial purchase price.

Correct, the solar charger keeps the battery maintained. You need to use a controller with it and most are included to keep the voltage right and no pulling from the battery when it's dark. It's 10w which is plenty and works even after the sun goes beyond the horizon on cloudy days. Just a little light is all it needs.

It's also keeps my gps tracker from trickling down the battery. I get live reporting of where my tractor is at all times and if the ignition gets turned on it reports voltage and ignition status as well. Geo fencing and other options. Trackmate gps is what I have. It uses cellular data and was easy to install using the radio wires.

The backhoe works outside of the cab so it's really easy but you have to get out. The rear window does open so I guess you could try and stretch but it's not meant to be used from inside the cab.

Your facts are in error. Show me the statute enacted by Congress. The FAA is authorized by the CFR to regulate air and space and is Administrative Law. Which power is as defined by the POTUS. Congress had nothing to do with it.

The statutory parameters of a model aircraft operation are outlined in Section 336 of Public Law 112-95 (the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012) (PDF). Individuals who fly within the scope of these parameters do not require permission to operate their UAS; any flight outside these parameters (including any non-hobby, non-recreational operation) requires FAA authorization. For example, using a UAS to take photos for your personal use is recreational; using the same device to take photographs or videos for compensation or sale to another individual would be considered a non-recreational operation.

I can see how you misconstrued my post. I was referring to Obamacare as mentioned in the post I replied to :stirthepot: not the drone regs. Merry Christmas everyone!
