Been using some of the KleenStrip "safer" muriatic acid with a paint brush to remove rust and mill scale ... I'd use a pump sprayer to make it easier and get better coverage, but I'm not real keen on atomizing it into the air ... brushing it on is plenty bad enough.
As usual, RS, yer makin' the rest of us look bad. Slow down a little so we can catch up, OK?
The latest batch of POR-15 Metal Prep came in a squirt bottle, and seems pretty aggressive on ferrous metal. At least it foams a bit, but doesn't sting when it gets on my skin. Anyway, the squirt bottle might be a nice middle ground way to apply that Muratic acid, as long as you stand up wind in any breeze. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to use safety glasses and Nitril golves, too, but I think a respirator would be over-the-top. Squirt bottles can be found in the cleaning supply section of your local Home Depot.
