Grapple Landpride SGC0660 Grapple

I am looking at a QA grapple for my Kubota B2710. The grapple I am considering is made by Landpride, model SCG0660 and weights about 250 lbs. The grapple is rated up to a 40 hp tractor. Has anyone had any direct experience with this grapple? One concern I have is the width, 60 inches but not a deal breaker. Seem wider than necessary but I have no experience with grapples. The grapple will mainly be use for brush, tree debris, some rocks and will be breaking some tree roots if possible. Plus what is a good definition for a claw grapple vs a root grapple?

Have you looked at the EA line? They have smaller ones that might fit your tractor better.

I'm thinking about a 60" for my L3940. I'd think a 60 inch is way big for a B.
I agree with the EA Wicked Grapples. Save 100lbs on the grapple and you can pick up that much more "other" stuff.

I'm fairly new to grapples and learned pretty quickly, don't go too big. I tried to compromise and get one to work on my 5740 and 8540. It worked, but I lost lift capacity and my tractor rode really rough, so I bit the bullet and bought a smaller one for the 5740.

I really like LP, but bought something else upon recommendation of my dealer, he sells them, but uses other brands.

I have and am still considering the EA line of grapples. The EA grapples cost several hundred more but may be worth the cost.

I am hugely caught up in weight and cost.
A bit more $, but gosh, 100+ pounds lighter than any other. Sometimes 300# lighter.
300# is a heck of a lot of firewood.

Everything I've read is that any grapple is a good grapple or any grapple is better than no grapple. Good luck.

T HAVE HAD THREE GRAPPLES THE EA WICKED ROOT GRAPLE IS HANDS DOWN BEST LIGHT WEIGHT BUT STRONG. I WOULDN'TGO ANY WIDER THAN YOU NEED PLUS WITH EA FREE SHIPPING WITHIN 1000 MILES GOOD LUCK
