Thanks redneck I will give it a try. Just found out I need to replace a rotting transom, rip up the floors in the next few days see how the stringers are. Gel coat is least of my problems.

I connected a piece of hose to my drain valve and ran it thru a hole to outside the shop. Whenever I go in to the shop I open it for a quick burst.

lots of really good ideas. Vice just plopped in general area, agree completely to repositioning. This is all before...
I wanted the vice on that corner in case something had to go out the door. Going to put another support under that section plus under the drill press on the other side. Have lots of 4x4's left over from prior garden. Might as well make it sturdy.

never thought of water in the hose lines but yeah...fifty feet of line plus another ten say of various lead in lines and connecting lines. So sixty feet of hose offering a chance to condense, should one blow out the line before connecting a tool?
remember, never used air tools before but if there's moisture in there either trap it or blow it out.

Ok, I'll go blow out the air tank tomorrow, that should make a nice noise, and see how much water comes out since I first installed it. The tank valve is on the very bottom and ok to get at, though i'm not putting my face down there while opening that valve.

If I do build the new garage storage building next door, and needed a good air compressor, like an Ingersoll Rand type 30 or a US made Quincy to power equipment lifts, things I really want to work properly, and also higher air use tools, I would think about installing one of those air filter/drier kits in line. Kind of stuff is standard on rotary screw compressors, clearly the water should be religiously prevented from accumulating or damage will ensue. if the expensive compressors have this stuff standard, says something about the general need on smaller compressors. Even low hour ones.
Point well made and taken.

Drew I still blow out (drain) my compressors every time I use them, but I also hooked a in-line dryer to my big compressor because 90% of the things (furniture) I make I spray with lacquer. And any moisture can ruin a good finish.

Don I have to agree with Drew, forgiveness not permission .

Had a little rain this morning then cloudy most of the day, didn't keep the crazy's in work was still busy. Predicted rain possibly thunder storms overnight.

Worked on the boat when I got home from work, the more I "dig into it" the deeper in my wallet the project goes.!

more good ideas. Easy to pipe the exhaust drain outside, but what's coming out is under high pressure so this could make a real mess...well, I don't want it on my shoes anyway so better to get it outside. I have plenty of hose, but when opened I have 120psi bleeding off, not sure garden hose would like that. I have better hose left over from my larger boat days. Basically smaller diameter heater hose. Unless I pull the pop off valve I suppose. But the point is stuff is blasting out that hose so I need it aimed somewhere there is nothing to mess up. Eg, not my lawn mower parked there...

Ok ok
I promise to blow it out often. Like voting, blow it out early and blow it out often. It's a nice compressor and my air tools are mostly new now so would be pretty dumb to rust them out prematurely.

Drew I just open and close the valve really quick Woosh all water gone.and use a hose clamp on the valve connection.

Snake boot selfie!

Went looking for the big snake this evening armed with my camera. No luck, the snake boots must have scared her off.

Chippewa Boots
Test - does anyone else see the problem with this test, like really only one boot!
