Spotted this today.
Hi HHR,

Whats the prob?? He has two tie-downs in the bed....

JK- I know they need to add hazards flag at both ends....

BTW- does anybody else think it looks like those platforms at the back end are just sitting there loose?

Hi Chopped,

My brother once brought home a full-sized sofa that was probably a third again bigger than that one, and really solidly built single-handedly by loading whatever portion of it would fit into the back hatch of his Honda CRX HF.

[For those of you who don't remember, it was a mid-nineties 2-seat model with minimal space besides the 2 front seats and NO cargo capability- designed especially for fuel efficiency.]

He admitted that he was having a really hard time steering because the front end was so light- but luckily, he found it out to the road only a coupla suburban blocks from our home.

The sofa was so big and heavy that the 2 of us could barely lift it to get it down into our finished basement. When we moved out, we left it there because even though we both loved it, we weren't physically able to get it out of there. BTW, after her got it home, he unloaded it himself, and went back for the matching arm chair...

We were both young and full of beans back then....

It does look like those are loose. Perhaps they are to help with weight balance?
Looks like a dock to me and it looks like there is another one sitting on the ground off of the RF corner of the truck.

That's exactly what I was thinking too!

BTW, I'm not sure if I ever commented to you before, or it's just what I have always thought about saying, but I love your signature, and RAH has always inspired me because i find a lot of similarly good thoughts in his works.

Wow I remember those heavy ones and the ones that have a fold out bed need to have latches to keep em closed when your moving them.
I had one that barely fit down a rental stairs and my son got his head wedged against the drywall and the weight of the couch was choking him.
This couch was in one of my rooms untill it was to go to dunp. I used the electric chain saw on it.

I'm just curious as to what good the chain on the bottom is doing!

Keeping the trailer door from flapping around.

Chain looks like it goes in the trailer. Probably around the rear axle then there is a chain binder between them. Not doing much good the way they are loosely wrapped.

Found this video on Facebook. Somehow a pickup truck driver hit a motorcycle rider and was dragging him down the road.
The fellow that posted the video said this:
"So I'm commuting home today in the famous 91 freeway traffic. I see a pick up truck
east bound just past Green River dragging what I thought might be a bumper. I take a
closer look and realize it is a human body underneath the truck. The truck stopped I
jumped out of my car as did others. Once paramedics were called I swiped on my
phone camera and captured the rescue."

I want to know what the story is on the truck driver. OMG! As a former biker, that was hard to watch.

No picture, but last week, driving through Flint, a truck with a trailer ahead of me quickly hit the brakes and pulled onto the shoulder. The small trailer had a nice looking sport bike with straps attached to the handlebars and rear frame, but it was laying on it's side. I think the driver learned why real bike trailers have channels for the wheels.

This one has been around a while and may be posted here, but I found a video to back it up.
