How does your garden grow?

I had side dressed and hilled up all the viney stuff last week. But the hard rain had packed the dirt and washed much of the fertilizer away. So I did it all over today. We had quite a bit of sun and only one short shower, so the garden is drying out.



I also planted a bunch of grapevines and a few blueberry bushes. No pictures of that though.

The gourds will be needing their fence real soon. I saw blooms on my green beans today. Squash are growing. Silver Queen sweet corn. Field corn and Filipino pole beans. Margie had a few more of the Iraqi cucumber seeds. Since I didn't have a good stand, I planted some of the skips. Transplanted another row of Jalapeno {the last few were younger and didn't have enough root formation, so they will stay in the cups for a few more days}. Also did a row of Chili peppers and replanted the Bells that had cashed, but no pictures of them. One of the six blueberry bushes Sister potted for me.

The summer squash has squash growing as well as more blooms popping out every day. Not sure what we are going to do with all that squash. The garden peas and sugar snaps are also producing little pods with lots of little blooms. Corn is about 2 foot tall. Turnips, beets, okra, carrots, patty pans, and acre peas are growing but don't see eating any for a couple of weeks yet.

I think I planted my sugar snaps too late. They are not doing much of anything.

My early cabbage and broccoli are coming along. I was a little late getting started. Today I planted the red cabbage I use for kraut.

I hope it has a strong foundation.

I think he has a good foundation, I see tomatoes, corn, green beans?, many of the things needed for a good well rounded meal.
