Interestingly enough, the swivel base I was admiring so much is also found on the Athol Machine Co 5" vise I posted earlier in this thread. I looked up the patent date on it and look what I found;

Yes interesting. Here is my medium sized vise that I mounted on a makeshift welding table. Has the same feature and it has come in handy a few times.

I have had quite a few good deals but one of the better ones was A Milwaukee Hole Hawg drill for $40.00 .
Another was a General 16" thickness planer c/w 3 hp motor for $150.
6" Delta surface planer for $100.
(Getting that planer out of the basement via a circular staircase was another story as it weighed in at 400 lbs.)
Delta wood lathe @ $100 c/w 6 NIB tools
My 60 inch blower for $400. (minus a component that sold for $100, ergo $300 net)
60 gal 6CFM compressor @ $50.00 (blown capacitor, cost $10)
As to air tools, don't ask.

Love yard sales!
Problem is I need a bigger shop to contain it all.

I think we could all use bigger basements, garages and workshops.

Found these made in USA Craftsman Professional full polished wrenches today at Sears. They're duplicates of what I have, but the open stock clearance price came out to $60.00 for all 12 of them.

I bought a boatload of Sears Craftsman made in USA hand tools a short time ago. Prior to that I had junk partial sets that always left me a tool or so missing when I needed them. I was happy to get the USA sets before it was too late.

I would have to go back and look, but deep and normal socket sets, open end wrenches, screw driver sets, flare nut wrenches, etc. Both metric and english. I don't tend to go with the fancy style tools, more the time proven styles.

I have both the traditional raised panel and full polished Craftsman wrenches. I like them both, but I'm partial to the full polished. I then have my Dad's older JH Williams combination wrenches all the way up to 2-3/8" which I have no clue what I'll ever do with the big ones, maybe buy a crushing plant to wrench on, lol.
