Good morning. I think its about 34F. The airport's weather data has not been showing up on wundermap the last few days. Hummm. Who do I call about that?
Wifey making coffee. Always tastes better when she makes it. :)

Going over the rivers and thru the woods to the kids grandmother today. (My mom lives down in Victoria Tx.)

Going to pay my property taxes next week. Arghhhhh. While I'm not a senior citizen yet, I think they should give elderly a large break on property taxes. Maybe $60,000 exemption. If their home is worth 60K or less they pay nothing. Now, they get nothing but the 12K homestead exemption here in Texas. That way, the truly poor would get a break while the wealthy living in a mansion would still have to pay. Just my random thought for the day.

20F & cloudy. Snow forecast is back to <1", high around freezing. :)

Good luck with the tractor Roy.

Looks like another good morning to get out for a walk.

Have a good weekend.

5:30 AM and it's already 62F here. Forecast is for 73F later today with sun and light wind. Might be time for a motorcycle ride!

Eric, that finish on the stove is likely to be pretty slick. Try picking that epoxy off with a fingernail.

Roy, I use my backhoe in direct proportion to the time it's already mounted on the tractor. Will yours be a three point mount or something more substantial?

Drew, that's a very clever digger you've got there. Is it a home brew?

Have a great weekend, guys. And you over achievers out there: try not to make the rest of us look too bad, OK? ;)

I'm no expert, by far...but the 447 and 448 backhoes use permanently mounted brackets on the rear frame. Supposedly, it's a pretty robust mounting method...haven't read of any breaking or problems with them related to the mounting. I have read (on TBN) of some bending cylinders or the dipper booms.

Roy you will enjoy the cab very much in the winter and having a backhoe around you will find lots of uses for it. You will be able to get into places a full size backhoe will not. Good luck!

Those permanent mounts sound great. My biggest beef with my homebrew mount is having to crawl under the tractor to bolt it on every time. If you can get the dealer to demonstrate mount/dismount procedure it might save you a lot of time trying to figure it out on your own.

Hope you have fun with the new tractor!

Not really sure of temperature outside but dreary windy and showery in SC this morning. Our snow got dryslotted home just a little ice.

Nice 3 to 6 in snow for those up north next week Monday I think from what is called a Manitoba Mawler.
Weather pattern changing cold is coming and a good shot of it thru first week of February

Still big storm on horizon for super bowl weekend not confident yet but still showing up on models affecting Texas up the east coast

Long trip last night got in at midnight drove thru lots of heavy rain and lots of water standing on the road yuk.
This is just a short visit back home tomorrow but a nice break nonetheless
Eric really enjoy the pictures and stories from across the pond
A razor blade will probably get that off the stove
