My point was shoving trucks off a cliff is just as stupid as a test as a 280 foot drag race. Yeah, nobody could get there hands on a drag strip that day right?
I do agree the test was probably designed to favor and highlight the low rpm torque advantage of a boosted motor. A longer track would help the naturally aspirated motors get revved up to get in their torque band. The 2.7 ecoboost wouldn't fair as well but I think the 3.5 would still come out on top based on what I have seen in the past even with the heavier f150. The broad torque curve is hard to beat at the strip.
