Up to 55F and sunny @ 12:00 ... just checked the forecast and they're calling for a high of 79F on Tuesday (but rain/t-storms) which is unseasonably warm for this time of year.

Just came down for breakfast/lunch ... bacon with Parmesan cheese on dry toast ... hmmm

Gonna go with the 1 1/2" x 3" tube for the SSQA ... got it cut ... now working on getting four pieces of 1/4" plate cut to cap the ends ...

Likely will have to put that aside for a while to get the outside work done.

And Princess is all up in arms over the yellow jackets ... call out the troops ...

38F when started blowing leaves 7am this morning,57F now just finish blowing leaves..with strong breeze leaves starting to fall at good clip.
Have young buck been rubbing on new apple trees I planted this year...hmmm,guess I better leave him a note.

Good afternoon all. 48F and cloudy this morning intermittent drizzle. Hi was 60F overcast and more intermittent drizzle. We have had enough drizzle that everything stays wet and .1 in showed in the rain gauge. Made it to church, got tomorrows ride in and taking the rest of the day off.

Camping this weekend with a group from church. We had 8 camp sites together. The lake is drawn down to do maintenance.

Home sweet home for the weekend. Only had electric hookup, so we were roughing it. :laughing: Really, I had the heat set for 61 , but temps were in the 50's. For years we only did tent camping.

Cooked potatoes and carrots in olive oil in the big foil packet, and hamburgers in foil on the coals. Also did a cherry cobbler in the dutch oven.

Back to the real world tomorrow....

Weekend was pretty good. Got the mowing done and a few other chores. Didn't finish the shower and dryer work since I have to get a couple parts.

60 degrees going all the way up to 81 today on what should be a busy Monday.

worked my tail off yesterday, did at least 8 boxes and bins unloaded, all dishware, stuff that comes out of the hutch that one's wife stuffs in there that no man understands what it does...

and what a banner day at Lowes. I was there when it opened and got my downspout extenders and oh my, I knew I was in trouble. Right in front was a "grove" of about twenty fruit trees, all just off the delivery truck, all about eight feet high, and priced at 19.95 apiece. These were 80 dollar trees in PA. I admit I started to slobber... And they had the Kiefer pears I wanted, etc. Bought two each of three apple varieties and two pear varieties and they helped me load them on the truck, laid them down nicely and they got home perfectly.

And I am not planting them today for sure. Saw my next door neighbor, the fireman, yesterday afternoon, and he is going to help me get the phd on the tractor on Friday and then these trees might get planted, though they have a few crepe myrtles in front of them. This soil may be sandy, but with a twelve inch auger on the little phd(sized for my late smaller tractor) no way am I digging all these holes by hand. I just got my right wrist and arm to calm down from the mum planting two days ago. Of course there were enough roots in that digging to have warranted a stump grinder.

54 and raining this morning high of 66 later today. The rain is the light variety today heavy stuff comes in tomorrow. Yesterday was a do nothing day except for church just laid around veging and watching football
