After I got it tacked up I used the pipe jig/rollers to do the final welds ... worked out good ... was nice to be able to get all the way around the pipe while sitting comfortably on a bar stool

I bolted the base of the roller/bender to the top plate of the stand to minimize distortion as it was being welded:

Then clamped a piece of 3/4" plate to the bottom plate on the stand to do the same for it:

I used most of that 3/4" plate for the base plate on the stand for the vise ... probably way overkill, but it was the only thing I had left ... other than a chunk of 1" plate ...

At any rate, it should make the vise stand less prone to tipping over if/when it is unbolted from the floor.

70 degrees this morning after a night of pretty intense storms with heavy downpours last night. High of 87 later with more rain in the forecast. The thermometer on the truck yesterday showed 98 degrees at 4:00PM. Hopefully cooler weather will be here soon but will have to get thru September first

Got second cup of coffee poured. 54° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 81° with mostly sunny skies today. Lawn needs cutting this afternoon. Should be a good day to enjoy some low humidity.

63F partly cloudy clearing later on w/temps touching 80F..2 day relief before heat humidity returns.

11pm last night clouds open up and pour rain gutters were over flowing,pickup now looks clean/shiny.

75 out this AM. Had some t-Storms blast through North and South of us last night. Did not help us out, the humidity is still here and expected to stick around for a few more.

Is OK by me, I lounged by the pool and ended up painting some drywall repairs I had made earlier in the week. This afternoon, I expect more of the same. Groundhog day.

Never got the grass cut right around the house the last time (week ago), just the front (which needs cut again) ... and it's been raining over the holiday weekend so the wife couldn't cut it ... so it looks like I'm gonna get stuck with doing the deed ... :laughing:

The air cleared overnight. Sunny with high of 80 today. September is a freaky month, chilly mornings and sweltering afternoons seem common. Upper 80's forecast for Friday. According to NOAA, we have a 10% chance of reaching 32* by Sept. 3, 50% by Sept 17, 90% by Sept. 30.

Guess I'll mow the yard this morning after walking Milos. Sharon is off to the vet in Portland for follow-up blood titers from Sira to see if we got the Rocky Mtn. spotted fever cured. Later I'll gather woody stuff in the field. Woody stuff is light weight.
