Going to be a fairly expensive lesson. I've got to slow down a bit, and be more careful.
I was nearing a clear situation of "tractor abuse" it seems like a tank to me.. But it's not. Ha

Yeah I know what you mean I'm guilty of the same thing Brockmoore stuff on the grill of my old tractor that way. But this new tractor I'm trying to turn over a new leaf I'm being much more cautious plus the visibility is so good on them you can see pretty well what's in front of you especially with the forks

Here are a couple of pictures I got to try out my new landscape rake today it does a beautiful job started off with a box blade and finished it off with the landscape rake. Box blades a six footer with six rippers at one point I had all the rippers down almost all the way and I felt it want to try to stop the tractor at one point but it pulled through. Only problem is now I think I'm going to need a bigger trailer.

Tman where did you get that can and how much? Does it have fans for cooling

I found it on Craig's list. I think they run around 4000 new depending on options. No factory heat, air, or fan. Factory heat and fan is a option but I bought a 12 volt truck heater/fan that works well and keeps window defrosted for 30 bucks at local truck stop. I wasn't sure I wanted a cab at first but I would be hard pressed to go back now It's really nice.

In process. They were waiting on the radiator when I talked to them Thursday. I'm traveling until next Wednesday, hopefully I can pick it up Friday on my way to the farm. I still have one more section of timber (100' x 30') that I want to take out along the field edge.

Tractor is ready. I've just got to find time to go get it. Ha. No idea what the bill will be. $295 for the radiator plus two hrs labor to swap it out for the one I broke. Ha
I had noticed a leak in the right side lifting cylinder on the FEL. I thought it was a loose connection.
The mechanic ordered a whole new cylinder in under warranty, and swapped it out.
Hope to pick it up Saturday.
Got more cutting and clearing to do. (A bit more carefully!)

400 or so bucks isn't bad for a lesson, could have been a lot worse
I usually have much more expensive lessons

Glad to hear you'll be back in business soon. Just hit the 50 hour mark tonight also put my first couple of scratches in the tractor tonight. Darn. Oh well it is a tractor right can't stay new forever.

A little touch up paint, and "that will buff right out"..

( I have some scratches in mine too)

Murphy, don't mean to laugh at your misfortune but that cracked me up. That would suck. I'm hard on my tractors and know it so I have been trying to be so careful. I guess now they r officially broke in.

Yep.. I'm not 100% sure the hydraulic cylinder that he replaced on the FEL wasn't my fault too. I am planning on keeping it around for a while.
I was trying to go a little too fast. Add that to the fact that I don't know what the heck I'm doing.. Just not a good combination. I'm going to take it easy from now on.
At least that's my plan..

Running great! Had a load of gravel brought in Fri, got it spread over the drive on Sat.
It's got 12 hrs on it now! Ha

I've got a long way to go, as far as getting gravel spread, smooth. Smooth being the key work there. Maybe the speed bumps will slow everyone down. Ha

Just the FEL at this point. Still working on getting a box blade. Used the "float" quite a bit with the bucket. Works ok, but I need a box blade for sure.
