Quick Hitches Land Pride Quick Hitch

I completely understand that a lot of implements look almost identical, and I see what your saying about copyright infringement, but until I see some sort of proof that Landpride doesn't make their own implements I'm not going to believe it. I think the idea that they are all made by the same company is just speculation based on the fact that some implements are very similar to others.

We're not talking about high end luxury cars here with thousands of little parts...we're talking about a few pieces of steel welded together on implements that have been around for many decades (maybe not the qh:D)

Honestly though, how much different can they be? :D

Yep, I agree. It appears LP and Speeco both make their own.

When we get to the BBs, mine is probably 25 years old. I'm on the fence as to who made it. Sure looks like a Gannon to me. Same with Murph's. Actually same with yours.

I'll try to research that. Hard to get someone to admit they are buying a competitors product though!!! :)

Go to a farm show where a lot of these manufacturers go. You will see that certain items all look the same, especially to the untrained eye. Why is that? Because certain designs work best. And then you have to build that item to fit a specified cost range. So that is what everyone does. If you really know what you are looking at, most of the time the differences can be spotted.

Look at tires, there are round (well sort of) and black (usually). To the everyday layman, they all look the same and yet we all know that there can be HUGE differences. Are they all made by the same company, NO.

Just my :2cents:

I found a Land Pride spacer, part number 308-400D, to fit just right for the top hook on my Woods Cat 1 quick hitch. I bought three of them for use on different implements, and now need to buy a couple more. They were not listed in the quick hitch parts list; they were instead listed on parts lists of several different implements, such as their box blades (http://www.landpride.com/ari/attach/lp/public/manuals/303-082p.pdf). These spacers are 1 1/4" OD X 25/32" ID X 2" long. They also have a spacer for use with earlier quick hitches, probably smaller although they don't give the dimensions on it - P/N 303-037D. Woods has a similar spacer, P/N 1002018; it is described as Sleeve .81 x 1.25 x 2.12.

The spacer I used for my clevis lower hitch points was P/N 320-051D from the Land Pride Quick Hitch parts manual, 1.44" OD X .93" ID X 2.88" long. I haven't had any luck finding a similar Woods sleeve, except the one in the quick hitch adapter kit with the shoulder and roll pins. The Land Pride spacer fit the clevis hitch on my Bush Hog Rollover box blade and the Woods Quick Hitch perfectly. This spacer is one of half a dozen different lengths listed, but was the closest to the width I needed.

Yes, you can order these spacer by Land Pride from Messick's at 877-260-3528. They will have LP ship them to you or any parts.

Yep Brian, I agree. I'm a bit OCD about this imported product thing. For some strange reason I want to know where my purchase is built and by whom. As the World gets smaller I'll hafta get over that!!! :)
