My 1978 JD 400 with its original blade. Just changed out all of the hydraulic lines and quick connectors. The chains and rear wheel weights are a must for pushing.

Posted these before, but still enjoying the 7' Western plow fabricated for quick hookup switching off the FEL and on with the plow.

Also, the wing plow comes in very handy to wing back the berm when snow builds up and I can't go into the ditch.

You ought to repost the links to your videos, Beenthere...it's been quite a while and the newbies (as well as we old boys) might enjoy seeing them again.

Here is my Boomer with a Braber 72" snow blower. I took the skids off because they would tend to dig into my mudrock driveway. I added a set of 10" wheels on the sides and that stops the blower from messing up the driveway. The tires keep the auger the same distance off the ground as the skids did. Luckily 99% of what I clear is a straight path.

The wing plow attaches to the standard from the FEL and that height is fixed. The rear of the wing blade is held out with a telescoping push bar that pins to the drawbar. A chain around the 3 ph lift arm manages the height of the rear of the wing. The plow will mount to either the right side or equally as well as the left side.
To attach, the wing is rolled out from storage on two 4-wheel dolly's, then the front support is slid onto the 3x3" square standard and a pin dropped in to hold it in place. A trailer ball hitch is used to attach the blade to this support. Unfold the push bar and drop a pin into the drawbar, throw the chain around for lift, and adjust the telescoping push bar. So two pins dropped in and the chain wrap are the only three things holding the wing in place.
Pushing to much snow can slide the rear wheels out but dropping the front plow blade into snow will cause a pretty good balance to that force.

It's gonna be just fine! :thumbsup: The bucket may not be as favorable as a tractor mounted blower or a plow, but it sure beats the heck out of a snow shovel and/or a walk behind blower.

Buckets work fine...maybe a QA plow would be a nice addition sometime if you get enough snow most winters.
Some guys don't care for just using the bucket...worked for me for several years even when we got heavy snows (in south central PA) and snow removal implements are costly...especially if you have little need for them.
