Randy

Back in early October when you first shared you were suffering from sciatica and back spasms, I don't recall you mentioning the cause? Was this trauma related?

I am not suggesting it has to be trauma related as my back issues and sciatica weren't caused by any specific trauma, but degenerative (and a fair dose of he-man stupidity over the years).

But, if it was - could it be the underlying cause of your current symptoms...???

I obviously am not a doctor, and if I recall correctly your wife is...but since you haven't been able to diagnose your current situation, I am offering to toss a dart here...could this possibly be some form of rhabdomyolysis?

As I understand rhabdomyolysis, it can be brought on by trauma OR periods of immobility (as in bed rest?), and it's symptoms sound like it could be what you have.

But please - my opinion and a dollar bill will still leave you fifty cents short paying for a cup of coffee! Hope your medical team can quickly diagnose and cure your ailments!!

Why did you need the new cachement pad?

My catchment tanks are poly, 8ft diameter, 12ft tall, 4 of them. In an effort to reduce the visual footprint, we decided to bury them about half height. Has worked well since 2007, but last week we developed a problem. 8 inches of rain and the tanks rose up about 3 ft, completely braking the feed system and the tanks themselves are askew. Have a couple of theories, but nothing I'm certain as to why. It would be nearly impossible to realign them in place, so a better fix would be to create a new pad (not sunken) and relocate them. Currently, only one tank is being filled. I will drain and move them one at a time, starting with the tank most askew and the one being currently being used last. Most likely I will hook the relocated tanks into the system as I move them. This will also give mew the opportunity to add an improved filter system to the infeed side.

Of course I will post pics as I progress.

20 degrees right now and not expected to get above 25 today.
Got our first snow on the ground last night, not sure how much but close to two inches
Won't last, but sure is a sign of what is coming.

The weather here stinks! Just no other way to describe it! It seems to think we should have winter, and it is giving it to us, even before winter officially begins. Cold, with predictions of more wintry mix today and this evening. :hissyfit: As soon as this stuff moves out, I am closing the gate at the Texas Oklahoma line, so no more can get through!

toppop; I hope you are on the mend. Please take care, and keep us posted.

good morning all. Boy is it cold here, about 23 degrees and only just getting above freezing today. And that messy weather in Texas is headed our way mid week, just in time for Thanksgiving travel. Lovely.

Lot of folks up early this morning, but we are all concerned for you Randy. Shake this and get better soon.

I realize I forgot to drain the water heater in the rv yesterday, Hope that didn't freeze overnight...back I go to fix that today.

No matter how bundled up I get this cold weather isn't good on the arthritis. No wonder so many folk (boy are you smart Ron...) spend the winter somewhere warm. Hmmm, FG, you'd better go brush the snow off Rons RV pad...boy would that be an unpleasant surprise to finally get to Texas and find it covered in snow... Well not for long hopefully.

I hope you all have a pleasant Sunday.

14* and windy enough to keep the trees rocking, it's dark too. :) High of 20* and low of 7* forecast, maybe some snow flurries, and winds 20-30 mph all day.

Sodamo, Are those catch tanks your domestic water supply? I saw some of those on HGTV House Hunter when they were in Hawaii.

You folks in the freezing rain areas be careful if you have to go out. Sounds nasty.
