My mom and her hysband just had their Dodge 2500 stolen from the parking lot at a mall in Fort Worth. By the time they were finished shopping, and discovered and reported it, it was probably already in Mexico, or close to it, the cops taking the report stated. Life gets scary, these days.

I like cornbread with my butter. Several big chunks on top and let it melt. Then put more soft butter on it. I like for butter to be dripping down my fingers while eating it. Also like cornbread on my pinto beans but have always preferred fritos or crackers with chili.

Of course chili or cornbread either one goes better with one of these :D:D

I'm assuming that means he's a hybrid. He runs on beer or wine. (???)

No, he doesn't drink, or believe anyone else should either. Needless to say, we are not good friends. :confused3: Maybe he is a hybrid!

I tried to correct that typo 3 times, and still didn't get it right. With my typing skills, I gave up! Good thing I've never needed to type to survive! :cool2:

And southern US visitors forget to unplug the heater cord before pulling away from the store:D
..........or they have no clue and park out in the boonies at the grocery store:eek:. In my defense I was only in there a few minutes.:newhere: But I did remember to plug it in overnight at the hotel:thumbsup:....AND UNPLUG IT in the morning.:thumbsup:
Funny thing:laughing:.........You'll never guess how often ground power is still plugged in when the rampers push the plane back for engine start and taxi.:duh::mur::talktothehand::hissyfit::banghead::pullinghair::thumbsdown::yell:

Yep, crackers (we keep 3 kinds on hand;saltines, club crackers, & ritz crackers) are for salads, cheese, Vienna sausage, and sardines. Cornbread is for everything else, including the pot of soup I'll make tomorrow.

Cornbread = RED beans and rice. Chili = crackers.........lots of them crumpled up.:licking:
hugs, Brandi

Talking about remembering things:

I was setting having a cold beer and started to draw a picture of something that was lodged in my brain from some previous experience. (drawings below)..
Some of you may not care to know but I think I was abducted by space aliens about a year or so ago. I would like to relate the story the best I can. Some of the people have heard it at the time I wrote it,, I mean experienced it. It could be true, most say they do a brainwash on us, humans, so we don't remember.. But me being slow,, by the time they got thru with the wash job. I was starting to realize it happened.. The abduction that is..
The story:
I was out in one of the back pastures cutting some firewood for my bbq pit and the fire place, It was a warn sunny day in late Fall when it started to rain a little and the wind was trying to shift out of the north.
I decided I would stop for a while. I got in the gator, John Deere, and drove it to the barn, where I pulled up a few bales of hay to set and rest a bit, listen to soft rain on an old tin roof and watch it run off the side of the barn, wiped a little sweat off my forehead,, laid back,, the next thing I knew I heard this beeping noise and I was cold, and two hours has past, I was suppose so call my wife about an hour or so earlier.
There was an old cow standing at the edge of the door looking at me, then I heard my wife hollering, so I got my hat and walked out to where she was parked. Told her that I think I was abducted by space aliens because I had lost two hours somewhere and it was hot and now it's cold.
I may have lost a whole day, what day is this? "Tuesday" she said in a low voice,, Well I didn't lose a day,
Then she had the nerve to tell me I fell asleep, I told her if I had fallen to sleep then why is the sun shining and its cold?, I think space aliens flew in from the North and took me aboard their spaceship, She laughed at me and said I was crazy, crazy huh, then why is that old cow looking at me? I think she knows more than she mooing, and I heard this beeping noise just before they released me, she said that was me honking my horn, yea right, I've be keeping my eye on her and that old cow. I think they know more than I do:cool: Lou

Lou,
From looking:detective: at the second drawing.........you have been drinking and should not drive.:drink::stopsign: Let them drive.:steeringwheel: Slow thinking means they are thinking faster than you and are too far ahead to affect your thinking.:duh: Which throws their thinking off and makes them frustated.:mur: Which you already are as you got rained out too.:gloomy:

Summertime and the livin' is easy ... (Porgy and Bess, George Gershwin, 1935)

That's a beautiful song Lou, I don't know if I'll ever hear it again without thinking of aliens on a spit, that tasted like chicken. I'm going to try and get abducted, and ask for the memory erase special.

What does "Front Tamps" mean?:confused3:
hugs, Brandi

TAMAULIPAS FRONTERA - It's the 'frontier' or border strip of the state of Tamaulipas, Mx. border with Texas, U.S. That area was a designated trade zone and past the checkpoint is where Mexico really begin starting enforcing some trade laws requiring duty to be paid on some goods transported south of the check points.

You may have seen some Mexican license plates on cars that said 'Front Tamps' which designate vehicles registered in 'TAMAULIPAS FRONTERA'.
