Good morning!!!!

I feel like the "Time to make the donuts" guy from the old Dunkin' Donuts commercials. It seems all I do is wake up and mow grass with all the rain we've had. In the past eight days I have mowed three times and am getting ready again. It's not just the big areas but the nooks and crannies you have to get with the smaller mower. Plus the weeds are out of control and I don't dare let many--especially Mare's tail--go to seed. They hold many thousands of seeds and are difficult to kill.

Maybe I should have picked a different year to put fertilizer on the lawn? :mur:

Given the choice of rain or no rain I'd take the rain and just deal with it but sure wish we could ship some to those in Texas and elsewhere that that need it.

EDIT--more rain expected Saturday. Whoopee.

I remember that commercial! Funny as could be!

77* going to 97* And, for now, they are saying we have a 30% chance of rain tomorrow and tomorrow night. X-fingers

71 this morning chance of thunderstorms this morning high in low 80s but no humidity. Storm in Atlantic may cause East Coast problems next week

batten down the hatches and let's go boating!
I've done a lot of sixes and sevens, and a few twelves that scared the crap out of me but our Bertram did fine in it, though it did put its gunnel in the water a few times. Pulled that fool maneuver off Twin Lights at the top of NJ. Problem is when you take a liveaboard boat offshore, all kinds of stuff comes flying loose, no matter how well you stow.

No big boat now, just a little sixteen footer I want to convert from gas to electric.
But I still read the marine forecasts. Eighteen footers tonight? better you than me, pull the covers up.
have a great day.

Seat time sure is good thinking time

Good advice.

Some if my best thinking has been on the tractor and I have solved pretty much all of the world's problems that way. Doing hay or plowing in endless rows is it's own inspiration and work around the house is very therapeutic. Sort of I'm OK--You're OK-- and my Tractor's OK.

Hot coffee this morning. 46° with clear skies and bright sun. Heading to 76° with clear skies all day. Back to retaining wall project. At the rate it is getting done. I should have it completed by next year.
Good Morning All.

What the world needs isn't more love, it is more TRACTORS! Maybe then, more people would THINK, and problems would be solved. I too get good thinking done on a tractor, and find it therapeutic. Small world, really.

Good Morning! 78˚ heading to 100˚. We will be looking for that rain when the wind shifts and comes from the North Saturday.

Ron, ?_? Next Year!!!! How long/high is that retaining wall? I thought you were relatively flat. Your 46˚ is the perfect weather for rock work - that would be in the dead of winter here. At least you don't have to worry about snakes. Another two people have been bitten by copperheads in the county, this year seems especially bad.
