why is that ???
It is on the small side for a baler that size, that's all.
For example we pull 4x5 balers with 80 - 100 PTO HP tractors.
It will probably do fine, I just wouldn't want to.

The only disadvantage for me with the wrap is that by the time I dump it in its spot and can walk around it four or five times to unwind the wrap, I'm fighting cows and trying to keep from getting trampled. If its twine I can usually cut across the bottom with my pocket knife quickly and go around to the other side and pull em out before to many cows get there. Of course y'all may know a better way.

hummm? vermeer said the rebel was rated for a 40pto ...???
my tractor according to tractordata.com says its a 48pto..
i sure don't want to buy another tractor... i just paid this one off.
Nobody suggested you need to replace the tractor.
my biggest problem with the bale wrap is when it's froze on the bottom it takes a while to cut and get it all off, other than that works good.

I find the twine easier to remove, at time of feeding. It also seems to hold the bales better during movement. I seem to be in the minority here, but thought I'd add my opinion, FWIW. I put a tarp over the bales, if they will sit out, so protection from weather is a non issue, for me.

When you feed bales do you remove twine with bales supported in air or sitting on the ground? I support bales in the air and I can have Netwrap off and back in tractor before you can find all the strings to get them removed especially if string 4"s apart or less
