1008- Cold, clear and sunny. not going to warm up too much today.....
Only a couple of outdoor chores to do then, inside chores- probbaly should put the perculator on the stove now-

Good morning all! A brisk 29* and sunny here this morning with a high of 53*. Had to have a new cap and some joints repaired on the chimney. The guy I got did a nice job and the chimney should be good for a while. Yesterday the chimney sweep came and cleaned and inspected the flu. I guess I'm ready for another burning season. Now I just have to clean the gutters and vacuum up the leaves - yuk! Have a good weekend everyone.

Heavy rain :umbrella-guy: and a wind warning for today, lots of rain now and looks like the wind will come later, high of 9C/48F.
Don't think I will be doing much outside today. :laughing: :laughing:

We're in White River Junction now, in fact. It's cold, OK (at 1900, Saturday evening). It's upper 20's right now.
Just brought the dog in from her after dinner business.

We found a place a few miles outside of Randolph. 5 acres, 4 bedroom farmhouse. 3 acres bottomland and part marsh. Wife likes it...me too, but I'd prefer more acreage. More on this later.
Back to PA tomorrow and start packing.

I spent the day doing decorations, still not done and doesn't even look like that much stuff!
Our daughter came over with our youngest grandson and spent the day helping us, I'd never have gotten this much done without her.

40 at 0500 here. Yesterday was BEAUTIFUL... I hunted the morning pretty seriously but then went to work clearing leaves off my trails so I can creep in, kept my weapon close, but mostly worked with the leaf blower and rake. I raked about 1000 feet of a great trail on my neighbors place where I can hunt. Then I hunted the evening until too dark. My wife tagged along in the evening as she wanted to see all the trails I'd cleared.

I did not get anything I could shoot at, but on the South East corner we spooked a pair of deer who were just over the property line about to enter my place. I had always suspected there was a deer trail on the other side and that they were hopping the old barbed wire and then coming down my "fire road" this was my closest to comfirmation of this. I will find a spot to sit and watch that corner on Monday evening...

The bad news is I have a TERRIBLE case of "Leaf Blower" Elbow, and last night I was in agony...

Not sure what we are doing after Church today. I've got sniffles and a tendency to cough or sneeze and do not want to go sit in a movie theatre so we won't be trying to make-up our missed date of last weekend... I hope James Bond is still in the theatres next Sunday...

About 20 degrees here in White River Junction. Going to be a decent, but cool day.
Can't say I'm looking forward to my 9 hour drive home...then start packing with no definite place to move yet!!
Going to be a very busy week!!!

BTW, I wrote about a place we want to buy in my last post. I forgot to mention that the seller's realtor is my new boss's wife.

Got the coffee pot brewing. 40 degrees with fog this morning. Heading to 52 with lots of sun. Yesterday I did not get all the tools put away. Got about 3 of them put away when I found a switch that I have been looking for. It belongs in one of fans in our motorhome. I did get it installed. Back to working on tool cleanup today. Last Sprint Cup race of the year this afternoon. Go Jimmie! :thumbsup:
Did I mention that David has passed his sore throat on to me. Going to start a Z-Pack today.

I am SO SORRY! My Bad sir...
I will say the sore throat stage was short, and the sniffles and sneezing is funny, I did not sneeze even once outside, but every time I came in the house, KACHOO!

So far it is a very minar and annoying cold, and seems almost over.

Now that leaf blower elbow... YOUCH That really hurts...
