MF 1643
Does anyone notice, seems like M-F owners have fewer complaints than the other colors ? my only problems come from the one sitting in the seat, and stupid mistakes. And I have had my fair share.

I have numerous tractors, MF, JD, Kubota, Case, etc. The MF is always up to the task. Great machine. I am actually looking for another to make tractor #10. I would welcome another MF.

I am new to Massey Ferguson ownership but I have no complaints so far, very well built machine.

Good looking tractor, I need to look up the specs, the bucket appeared to be on the lighter weight end of the scale for it's size, I have rented several new Kubota's very similar category size, HP etc, they are just about bullett proof. I am not even sure if the NEW MF1660 is made here in the states or imported like most others in this category. Great pictures, I hope you continue to post more details on how the service is and how the dealership treats you.

I have had nothing but success with Massey Ferguson. My 1020 has 4550 hours and is still going strong with no major problems to date.

Could it be because there are fewer Massy owners?

I do not know if we are just lucky ... I have had my 1532 almost 2 years and like you , the one sitting in the seat has been the only drawback .

I don't know, would be interesting to see actual numbers of all makes, regardless of year of manufacture, that are still out there. I wouldn't be surprised to see the numbers surpass what you might think.

I put app, 1000 hr on a 255. It was 52 hp that I had turned up to 74. I had a fuel strainer stop up, battries, flat tire. Sold it for more than I paid for it new. great tractor. Hope the GC2300 does as well.

Lots of Massey's out there-I see them all the time but I have no idea what the market share is? There are lots of CASE IH owners and you dont see many posts there, as I inderstand it CASE IH is one of the biggest manufacturers out there.

I think John Deer way surpass Kubota in sales but again, for some reason, kubota has more posts?

You have obviously never met our Massey; nothing but trouble sine the day it was bought.

Sorry to hear that, I have read a few posts of unhappy owners of all makes and models, as I'm sure you have. Too bad you've recently purchased a new tractor, might have been worth looking at a MF.

I'm so happy with mine, that I sold one for my dealer last week.

Too bad there is not a way to tally them all up here on TBN. I love my Massey but also know that there is not as many dealers as there once was here in my area. The one that is still within 60 miles does not keep any tractors on the lot

I think there is probably a lemon in every color. It sure makes it hard on the owner of the lemon.

Yep, we even have a bad John Deere too.

I wouldn't buy anything from our local MF dealer, so a Massey was never under consideration.

Agreed, everyone makes a lemon now and then, whether ours is one I don't know. My brother is a mechanic and doesn't mind working on stuff, so it is now under his care. When it is running right, you can't beat it; lots of power and very stable on slopes.

I've been around a few Massey,s in my life and never any trouble. But they have always been smaller tractors too. My new one gave me a little trouble but is doing great now. It's still too new to get the whole picture. I guess you are getting very dry there again huh? We had that great rain 10 days or so but nutin but dry and hot now. I'm sure it isn't any different there

We have been designated as being in an "extreme drought" condition and the crops are burning up. I don't know if some farmers will have enough crop to harvest. We cash rent most of our land and really feel sorry for the family who farms it. We do a "share" on mom's 60 acres, but it is irrigated, so they should be OK.
