I am all for saftey, and if something needs to be done with the trailer that is for sale that should be taken into account in the selling price. It seems logical that you should do some online price checking to see what a comparable new one cost. Have you looked at www.trailersplus.com? Then talk to your accountant and see if buying used makes sense for your situation. I leased mine for tax purposes.

Ok, given the 12x usage per year, yes, a cheaper (at first) electric brake trailer would be fine.

they still suck though and since I"m spending your money I would go with air brakes (since you already are pulling it with a dump truck)

doesn't matter, trailer is gone.

It appears that "Duffster" is something other than he holds himself forth to be. Over 3,500 posts (on this site alone) in three years tells me, and others, that he doesn't have much time for anything else, so is most likely an ignorant, and probably incapacitated, armchair operator whose sole purpose in life is instigating discontent among others seeking help because it bolsters his self esteem. Going forward, I refuse a battle of wits with an unarmed person.
