Ok, I will get to the bottom of this. I will request a one million dollar grant fron the goverment to study this and find out what the cause was.
I will need a new truck, camper, and a few other necessities to get to work on it. I have lots of free time and not much income at the present.

it was on the news (one of major networks) saying that the fireworks spooked the birds and caused their death... I had not heard about the birds until that point and doubted the story.. sounds like weather might be feasible.

Right. But they are not saying fireworks killed the birds. They are not saying the force of the explosion of the fireworks caused physical damage to the birds. They are saying that maybe the sound of the fireworks spooked the birds from their roosts, causing them to panic and fly in the dark. That is all they are saying. It is a theory. Yet there are people posting in this thread that are either trying to twist the theory on purpose or just have poor reading comprehension.

On a side note: I have a friend that said when he was a little kid, he was sleeping in his bed and for some reason woke up, sat up in his bed and looked out the closed glass window only to see a ball of fire coming right at him! :shocked:

The next thing he remembers is waking up in another room of the house with his mom and firemen checking him out. He got up and went to his bedroom and his mattress was ashes and his bed springs were smoking!
