Kubota M59
I`m looking for a snow plow to stick on the front of my M 5 9 tractor.

I'd like one to go on the FEL quick attachment not the bucket.

Where to look? Who makes them?

Can my tractor push an 84" plow up hill/gravel road?

You can buy them from a lot of places including everything attachements, Degelman,
and others but a rear mounted snow blower will be a better implement as your loader mount
is not ment for pushing as it was designed to scoop and carry.

The loader boom is not strong enough to deal with snow plowing so I would strongly caution
against this and avoid damaging your loaders boom arms.

A Degelman snow plow with a mounting frame or an inverted snow blower from pronovost is
something you should consider as it will be a better fit and be properly mounted.

Snow is lighter and softer around here than my dirt. I should go easy when using the loader on the dirt...

You should be fine with a seven foot angle blade on the front of a M-59.

I adapted a Curtis 8ft. to my loader,QA plate,power angle,on my L4240 HSTC
along with a seven ft.rear blade, handles all my snow removeal(120in year average).Nice set-up,can put the bucket back on in a few minutes if needed.
Can pile snow ten feet high...don't have to look back for a rear mounted snow blower.Make sure the trip springs on the plow are in working order.I plow about two miles of drive-ways and woods roads.

I have a commercially made plow on a JD4200 and I'm in the process of setting up a converted Meyers plow on my Kubota 3400. Buying a used truck plow and adapting it for a tractor is by far the cheapest way to go and it will be just as good as a commercially made 1. As others stated, make sure the trip springs are in working order and read some other threads on installing a crossover valve, and don't do anything foolish, then your loader arms will be fine. Good luck

That is nonsense.

Yes, until you hit somethingfull force that is solid, like a curb, that you didn't know or forgot was there. Some loaders are easier to bend than you'd think.

I have a 10' plow on the front of my International 2 1/2 ton dump. Two years ago I hit a frozen rock and bent one of the angle cylinders and the frame mounted on the plow, 3/8" think 3" angle iron. I was in low gear hardly moving and I have my trip springs set very soft because of the road having rocks and stumps close to the edge. Things bend easier than you think.

I think you should be fine but I would be careful. I'm handy so I think if it was me I would make a sub frame for the front of the tractor. It wouldn't be too hard to adapt a plow hitch to the front (maybe where the grill guard mounts?) of the tractor so that you could just pull the bucket off the loader and leave the rest of the FEL so if you needed to push a bank back you could put the bucket on.

Actually if you think about it the forces are different than when the bucket is used. The plow will want to put a lot of side force on the arms when it's angled

The only disadvantages of a front mount snow blower is they cost 3-4 times a 3-pt hitch mounted snow blower and possibly the loss of use of the FEL while the blower is attached, but with a quick connect, it isn't such a problem. (If you don't have a mid PTO and you need a hydraulic snow-blower with a rear PTO mounted pump, it is even more expensive.)

You can cause damage to your hitch ramming a blower into a curb in reverse just as you can ramming into one in forward gears going above certain speeds.

You don't see many commercial snow removal operations running snow blowers in reverse.

Running a blower vs a plow are 2 completely different animals.

I have an 84" Virnig V plow on my M59. It has cushioning valves with settable psi points to allow release when you strike a hard object. Works great. As noted damage is a strong function of the operator. Blade has a small degree of float from side to side and up and down so that it is not stiff on the arms allowing for ground imperfections. You can still apply down pressure to scrap hard packed snow.

As delivered you can run the blade off the front remote. I replaced the sequencing valve from the factory and have it connected to two of the rear remotes.

No issues. I think the 96" version would also be OK.

The thing is that physics rules all and you can destroy a NH boom just as easliy as Kubota boom as they are only ment to scoop and carry.

Stress is transmitted linearly until the weakest part of the boom starts to bend and the welds start to break.

There are lot of commecial snow removal firms using tractor mounted snow blowers in the midwest, norttheast, Ontario, Quebec, PEI, New Brunswick and Newfoundland.
