So over the last few years we have s l o w l y been cleaning up our farm after extensive renovations. We subscribe to "do the right thing" and dispose of trash, recycle metals and haul stuff off to where it serves the environment and our community best.
Unfortunate, over the years we have collected lots of electronic components, plenty of old applicances, around twenty or so tires (of various sizes). Most if the tires came from a creek, the appliances from outbuildings and what not.
The metals are not much of a problem, I can scrap them with ease.
The appliances, tires and electronics will cost us over one hundred dollars to dispose of at the landfill. I could disassemble the appliances (spending hours doing it) and save some money there..... I'll be dropping one electronic component off at a big box store for their program, for the next month or so.....
I just have a hard time thinking about this. I guess I should have just left the tires in the creek.
