It was so hot here in Ohio today, I saw a farmer feeding his chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying boiled eggs.

It was so hot, on the way home from work, I saw a funeral procession stop at a Dairy Queen.

It was so hot, I saw two trees fighting over a dog (oldie, but a goodie)

but seriously folks, it was so hot here that I saw old beelzebub at the hardware store, buying a window unit.

So how hot was it where you're at?:D

It's hot in SC. In fact, the only thing between SC and He** is a screen door.

Had our heat wave a couple of weeks ago. For about 4 days a number of all time temperature records for the day were broken in a number of towns and cities in British Columbia. Today a fairly nice 76 F.:)

It's been a pretty steady hot spell here for the last couple of weeks on and off. 92 today and the humidity is running near 80%.
Last summer it didn't want to get out of the low 70's. I'd prefer something in the middle, but ya get what ya get, I guess:)

It's been wicked humid here for a couple of weeks. Right now it's equal to 94 based on the heat index. And it's only the morning. I don't know how you southerners do it.

Perhaps I'm used to it, but I can manage the heat much better than cold. I hate being wrapped up in multiple layers of restrictive clothing in the winter. Mostly, with a light breeze and the shade of a tree, I'm good to go in the summer. Of course, there's nothin' wrong with a daily siesta inside with AC and a ceiling fan either. Yesterday, I visited with a friend who stopped by and shelled peas I'd picked early in the morning. "Outdoors morning; indoors afternoon" is my summertime mantra. :)

It has been in the high 90's to 100+ deg for a few weeks now and today the heat indes is 110 deg and the actual temp is supposed to top out at 98 deg...but the humidity is near 100% and that is what kills you !

We have a small vacation home (older doublewide) in Florida. Don't think I would ever want to go there in the summer. I've asked neighbors who live there year round what they do in the summer. They say they go from air conditioner to air conditioner:)
