I am going to go look at some hi-ply 19.5" tires for my f450 this weekend. Any idea of what I should expect.. don't want to have that 'sticker shock' look on my face in front of the salesman.. :)

I put 6 aluminum 19.5 wheels with Goodyear G124s on them on the Ram and IIRC the tires were around $300 a pop. That was in the 245 flavor though. What is the F450, a 225?

I go through 4-6 245/70 19.5 tires per year on my GMC 5500. The Goodyear G124 (now something else, maybe 622?) tread was aweful, so I have swapped to Kuhmo's. The Goodyears were $350 each + mounting and balancing, the Kuhmos are about $275.00 with mounting and balancing.

Kuhmo's: tires-easy.com - Details: Kumho KRD02 245/70 R19.5 133/131M 14PR BSW

Pics of the Kuhmo's and the Goodyear.

Not the same class of truck but I have had great luck with Kuhmo Tires.

I put a set of Michelin P265/65R/18 on my Chevrolet truck last week and paid $935.16 out the door. I am sure in all likelihood you will be North of that.

can't remember the size off the top of my head.. but since I want to have a spare.. I probably will be getitng a pair for front/rear with rims.. that way I can be fairly sure about not being broke down ont he side of the road with a flat too long.

Just put a new set on my f-450, w/tax and mount & bal. it was close to $1,800 bucks.:(

Put on Dynatrac ST-990($232 ea.)for the steering and yokohama ty303 ($275 ea.) for the drive tires.

take note of that... my farmer buddie down the road was just ranting about his 19.5" on his F450 and said he chews through a front steering set almost twice as quick as a rear set.

The 19.5" Continentals on my '08 F-450 have over 34,000 miles on them and hardly show any wear. I figure they will go 75,000 miles before I have to change them out.

his is 4wd and uses it quite a bit around the farm... his is set up with a flat bed and is his primary tow vehical for all his goosneck trailers. he routinely tows 15-20Klbs between the stock trailer, 35' deck over, and grain wagon trailer.

Hmmmmm, I just put four Chinese sixteen plys on the back of my truck and it was just over a grand. Experience tells me they will last about sixty percent of the life of a Michelin. Michelins on the other hand were sixteen hundred dollars for four.
