That my friend is a French MAS 49/56 in French 7.5 , looks like. Century converted some to .308 , but boogered them up pretty badly.
Very ,light and handy when done right in .308. Russ

Good call. This is an original in the French 7.5mm. Never been fired.

Sweet rifle. I had one that was boogered up by Century. Took it to a local gunsmith, new barrel in .308 , new stock, new forearm and modified to accept FAL mags .I took it home to shoot it , while waiting for him to get enough other guns to parkerize . Couple a months later , took it back to be parkerized, `Smith had a fire in his shop and I lost my gun.

Someday I'll shoot this one. I got it in its original arsenal pack with all the accessories. It was in unfired, unblemished condition.

I'll have to admit I have not seen any of the guns you have posted. They sure look to be in very good shape. I am one of those guys that have always said " the only interesting gun is an accurate one". Here is a picture of one of mine. There really isn't much OEM left. Shooting 3" groups at 600 yds is interesting.

I thought all French guns were unfired! Some have a few dings and dents from being dropped just prior to retreat.
