Just over 4 weeks ago, our purebred Nubian had her first babies, set of triplets. The first of 3, a girl, was very small at only 3lb 6oz. After a couple of days she got pneumonia and so my wife took her to the $vet$, had $x-rays$ and $medicine$. Then this little girl that I named Urkee, because she Urks, came to live with us in the house. The family room and kitchen have been her home for almost 4 weeks. Tomorrow she is going out to the barn. She now weights over 10 pounds and we have had her out in the pasture with the other 7 babies and four adults the past couple of days. Urkee is in for a bit of a shock  as we do not have hi-definition TV in there and no lap for her to sleep on. The vet didn't think she would make it but she is doing very well. I'm happy because the wife is happy. Amazing what a bit of money and some love and nurturing will do.
