Base price I dont have, but list on my 1999 4300, 4wd ,syncroreverser 12/12 trans,folding role bar, 3rd scv ,and mid pto was $18320.

I bought one in '99. What do you need to know? With what, without what? Could look it up, if real important. It has been a real winner in my book. Thought about trading up to a 3720 a couple years ago, but it hasn't missed a lick and does everything I ask of it.

HST, mid pto, 4wd, fixed ROPS, with 430 FEL, R-4's,

Well the reason I asked was because a dealer here has one for sale and the price seems high to me. Thought somewhere I once saw something like 9600 for the base new. Tractor data didn't have anything on it. You know how it is, don't want to offer more than I have to. Been spending so much time looking after awhile I am not sure about anything. Thanks for the help though. I know, supply and demand is what rules the price.

Wheb you consider the limited number of new posts from people shopping for a new tractor, demand is down. Considering that Deere has such good deals on new equipment financing the used stuff needs to be priced right to move it.

I found what I was looking for. Tisco has a site that gives spec on tractors. They say 14 930 for price, good enough for me. Thanks for your hepl and this is a great site.

Sounds like you have your answer, but here is some info I have from "The Official Tractor Blue Book", 2007 Edition from Price Digest.

1999
4300 $14930 - ($9560)
4300 Hydro $16700 -($10690)
4300 4wd $16130 -($10320)
4300 4wd Hydro $17900- ($11460)

According to the book, the Approximate Retail Price (the first price above) is the manufacturers suggested retail price new for tractors with standard equipment, excluding shipping charges or options. The number in parentheses is the average used price in 2007).

I got the book from Amazon, thinking it would help me figure out tractor pricing. In the end, I found prices all over the place, and tractorhouse.com is the best way to figure out what the current sell price for tractors. But the book is $20 bucks or so, and it is great for answering questions like this.

If you press the "add quote" button next to quote it will allow you to take it to another thread. It also allows for multiple quotes.
